Hey all! I just wanted to show some new screens of the level I'm making right now.
*2 pics
It's a water cave level. I'm using some stuff for layer 2 to make it look more appealing. Hint: The translucent ground and some other stuff. How's it look so far?

OMG! Looks good but it's also a little confusing.
@Reghrhre - It looks okay I guess, but I think it's a little too confusing for my tastes...

@foop2164 - I gotta say, I really like that title screen! Of course, the only part that seems kinda weird is how Mario's legless body is floating over the mountains...? Besides that minor little detail though, I love it!

I can never understand these translucent cave levels. In my personal opinion, they don't seem to be very eye appealing as well as ugly if the palettes are not done correctly. Apart from that, it looks alright.

Some submaps I made out of the oh so wonderful boredom. It's supposed to be like right next to each other. When you go into the yellow part of the first submap, you enter the second one, when you go right of Yoshi's Island, you enter the third one. It doesn't really look like it but eh.

If anyone wants to have it, feel free to check my filebin.
Those are realy nice submaps Blaze. Besides that, LONG LIVE BOREDOM!
Only thing I can see that needs to be added is more decorative things in the water plus more variation of decorations on land. Other then that those are very nice Blaze.
WIP Grassland submap for SMWH201
Needs events and one little platform, other than that I need to change grassland palette, but I'm not sure to what.
Well, the grass pallet could be changed to something like a rock pallete where the lightest one is the same color as the cliff. Not sure if you will do that 'cause you already have the brown one which probably also represents rock. If that's correct, another oppinion is to change it to sand.
Looks pretty cool reghrhre. How did you make the translucent ground?

In LM, click on Mario's head and in the level modes go to the bottom and there you will have 2 translucent modes: horizontal translucent level and horizontal translucent layer 2 level. Sorry for answering instead of reghrhe, just wanted to help. Hope I did.
Looks really nice, Darky. Although one problem I have with it is that this submap is supposed to be for World 1, which is a generic grass world, and yours looks like it'd be more suited for a mountain world, since it's so high up. However, since this is a community project, you're not being forced to change it.
Thank you for your comments. I'll keep it like this. Only editing some minor things.

Next thing:

Just something from my serious hack.
Thanks for the comments! It's more easier to see in-game, besides it's a world 7 level anyways so it's going to be a pretty hard level. (And maybe confusing if I feel like it)

Drew some coin and prize block graphics. They're not my best work, but whatever.

The exotic and lush Sub-con island is a place unheard of for most people in the Mario universe. It's known (or rather unknown) for its stunning scenery and unique wildlife. This is kept secret for those known for reasons which can seem fair, to keep its natural reserve or prevent incoming species that could ruin their habitat. But to many, many others, this land is like Atlantis to them.

When Mario first set foot on to this land (after what seemed years of sailing finding the damn island) he immediately got the creeps, which got only worse as he ventured on. It was that feeling like he's been here a long, long time ago....

(Pic above isn't a birdo boss battle, but rather an important key to get to the goal)

That looks cool. Also, you might wanna concider changing the yellow BG to blue in my opinion it looks a bit better, it´s still awesome though, so your decision.#w{:>}
The yellow-ish sky fits a sunset area, so be sure to make the ocean orange/peach colored to fit.

Also, the SMB3 and SMB2 palm trees surprisingly don't clash.
Another great screenshot, Cerebro. I'm not really a fan of the SMB2 health patch, but since this is a SMB2/SMB3 style hack, I guess it's appropriate.
Hey, anyone here watche Glee? Whatever, look what i do, my first BG that i don't if i'm going to use it, i've made it with paint, so...

@Darky: The level looks pretty nice so far, no complaints.

@ChaoticFox: The graphics looks nice IMO.

@Cerebro: Something about that screen looks really nice, I just can't think what it is.

@Taven: Hm..The background seems a bit too simple, other than that doesen't look bad.

Well I decided to give LM 1.71 another try again and so far I've been polishing stuff. Here's the one and only level I polished so far.

Yea it's not exactly much, how's it look?
