Tip: Keep in mind that the maximum size for an ExAnimation ExGFX file is 16 by 13 tiles, rather than 16 by 8 tiles like you would expect.

That submap looks nice. Also, I've redone my Choco Level. This time all the gfx and ideas are generated by myself. Credit will be given to Jerry for his asm etc. No screenies though, but I will say, this level is 2x better than the last one. It's choco with a splash of vanilla-lol. All I can say is, it's half grass- half mines. Cool huh?

This is layer 2, right? I too always use layer 2 in my levels whenever I get the chance. Never used the transparence one though. I like the colour range. Good work!
I won't post this in my own thread, one picture isn't worth a bump.




Using one of Broozers custom tilesets, the only thing I edited are the palettes. The background is ripped by NekohDot. Comments?

@Karkhisi: Cool submap. The palette choice is very good for a rainforest environment. Nice.

@Forty2: Interesting usage of palettes and FG structures. Looks really off-the-wall.

@DannyB: That looks nice. It definitely achieves a creepy feel.
Forty2: That looks pretty amazing. I really like the different colours with the use of transperency.

DannyB: You did get the dark, scary theme for the level.
@Karkhisi: Very cool jungle submap.

@ Yoshi Master: That character looks cool, good job on the gfx! My hack is also ment to be played with that filter actually. Also, the FG could also fit as a BG.

@ foop2164: I just love that huge version of mario, great rip and well executed!

@ Karkhisi: Very well made jungle submap, the colors are perfect. I'm just wondering, does the darker part of the map to the right have some proportional error as it doesn't have hills, or shall it be that way? It doesn't look bad although. Also, you have a tiny cutoff in the top-middle of the map.

@ Forty2: Using transparency in levels is hard to execute, but I like yours, it looks like some sort of jelly party^^

@ DannyB: A very nice and "death" palette to that tileset. My inly suggestion is to don't have black outline on the ?-block as the rest of the level doesn't have it.

Hellbourne: That looks pretty cool. I'm a pretty big fan of "abandoned castles".
Using the actual chain of the ball and chain as a platform/decoration is a pretty cool idea, actually. That's something I haven't seen done before in the realm of vanilla graphics.

Is the BG too much? Don't worry about the level at the start, it's just a test.

Gonna be very busy with coursework for the next 8 or so days so don't expect 2-4 too soon.

Edit: Only downside is that these can't be hit from top, which is pretty major. But they work in almost every situatiou you could imagine(i guess?)

Hm, That's a nice idea. You culd use that idea for easy secret exits or bonus rooms.
After the Doomsday, one idea just hit my head. After talking with Taven, we decided to make a hack, of course, if you guys like the idea.
Here it is the first screen of it.

And here's what you need to know about the hack

Name: A SMWC History: Doomsday (can change)
The Plot will be the main thing in the hack, along with the characters. The plot will be based in the facts and events that happened thoughout the history of SMWCentral. focusing in the main things that happened, like contests and ASMWCP, and many others. And the players will be of course, the members of SMWC. If you like it, we will open a sign up for who want to be in the hack.

Hope you all liked it.
