NO!!
Again another ninja, oh well nice work, huflu!!

--------------------

I DON'T WANNA A LAYOUT.

Uh did I do something wrong? I see there is no .cfg file. Is that what you''re talking about? If I use the block, he just floats to the roof.
If I were a bad Poppy Bro Jr., I WOULDN'T BE SITTIN HERE, DISSCUSSIN' IT WITH YA NOW WOULD I?!

As soon as you get the gravity to work for sprites, I'll download it. For now, this is awesome. I can only hope to be this awesome at ASM.

Unless, you know, I take the time out to actually learn it.

If you want to support gaming for a good cause, PM me to donate to Sandbox Gaming's 9th bi-annual 80-hour marathon! More information about the event here.

uh, i'm too lazy to remove any of the above but the marathon's over. it went pretty well

Yeah. Insert the sprite, put it on the same screen, blocks act like 25, make your own cfg file, I forgot to bring one, I'll update it later.

It does work with sprites, I just forgot to bring them as well.

Now whenever I try it, a weird egg GFX sprite goes at the bottom of the screen while Mario flashes. I used the blocks too. What am I doing wrong?

You made it use SP4, it should use SP3. However, the Mario flashing...

These were basically the coolest gimmicks out of Karoshi Mario, and I hope people will use these to make some even more creative levels.

This was a good idea, releasing these, 'Flung.

Then you didn't use the right RAM address. Try changing the RAM addresses in each ASM file to be the same, then make sure it isn't used in any other thing you are using.

I hope to release everything, but most of it I can't release right now, but I will put a link to the rest of it in my profile once I make it.

Is this only going to be released for C3?

No. The only reason I didn't submit it to the site is:
A) No cfg files, which is the main reason.
B) They can't really fit in any particular section, since they are blocks+sprites, but if a mod would tell me where a good place to submit them is, or if I can just submit them (hint hint, nudge nudge), I will definitely release them to the site to make them more accessible.

<object width="480" height="385"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/EVPVorg44cU&hl=en_US&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/EVPVorg44cU&hl=en_US&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="480" height="385"></embed></object>
And this:
<object width="480" height="385"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/NVQkMbNs154&hl=en_US&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/NVQkMbNs154&hl=en_US&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="480" height="385"></embed></object>

The first one can be gotten here and the second can be gotten here. Yep. If you have any trouble getting them to work just let me know.

p.s. If I have time tonight before C3 closes, I will update this thread with sprites for the reverse gravity. If not, it will be in my profile and I'll probably link it in my sig/title. That's all.

Dude, this is so freaking awesome. I like it!! I think I'll use it.

That reverse gravity reminds me of Brutal Mario. Nice job on these.

That's odd...I didn't see anything in the coding of the upside-down Mario thing that would flip his gravity, too. And by the way, wouldn't it have been more efficient to just swap $0311 with $0315 and set bit 7 of $0313 and $0317 instead of using extra sprite OAM? It looks pretty cool, though. So does the mid-level level changing. The only really big limit I can see with that is that you still have only 512 levels to work with, and using up 7 or 8 of them in one level for that could be a problem if it gets used too much in one hack.

Nice work.
Thanks Moot.

Anyways, an update! I give you a couple of things.
A) cfg files!
B) Sprites for reverse gravity, plus a small readme describing how to make them.

That's the beauty of it :).

I don't know what you just said #w{x(}. Meh, it works, that's what matters.
Wow, half these things seem impossible to create in SMW. I can't wait for more.
Woh. It's only now I understand how it works.

Pure genius. I can only congratulate you. :)
