Why would anyone be offended at a naked body? The human body is a beautiful thing.
Then again, Mario IS a fat plumber...
...Ok it might be gross.
Anyway, I don't really see the point. Did Mario forget to get dressed in the morning?
If you're just going for shock value, don't. It's immature, but not because you might offend anyone... It's immature because, last I checked, everyone has skin underneath their clothes, and finding novelty in something as mundane as that is ridiculous.
Equivalent of a fart joke; everyone farts, get over it. Everyone has a body underneath their clothes, get over it.

Why would it be immature? Maybe it is too explicit, but why? A lot of us (if not all) actually joke about those things, and so are we all immature? If you want to say "ridicolous", well, it is the right term, but why just don't make a laugh about this? I actually would do a hack with a Naked Mario (well, i would not show the penis because it would be otherwise NSFW, which it is not accepted everywhere, but in the Roman times it was, heh) who lives an adventure. And for this i am immature?
Wait do you say "shock value", well, i don't think this is that case. But it is not immature anyway, it is just rude and lame, which is different (bad anyway)

The human body is perfectly natural, I don't know why you are all making a big deal out of this thinking its "gross" or "inappropriate". Kids have genitals too and they see them every time they go to the bathroom.
Besides, I was thinking of putting a leaf on Mario's crotch, or making his fat block his penis and balls (Like Peter Griffin from Family Guy when he gets naked). Yes 90% of the enemies are naked, but they dont have genitals either, even the ones that should.
So I think I'll make a graphic hack that anyone can use in their hack if they want, and submit it to SMW central later. I'll make sure it's quality (as in, I won't just paint mario's skin color over his clothes like people did in those crappy SMB hacks).

Oh, I think we can take this even further. The title:
Super-Naked Mario World. Sound unremarkable, but its simplicity is deceptive, and a world of meaning lurks within that hyphen. I am not saying that the human body isn't bueatiful, it's just that I would not like the idea of playing a naked fat plumber jumping around with thoughts like...
Is his dick going to slam up somewhere?
Is Peach naked too?
Is 16-bit naked-ness really appropriate for anyone on this sight???
The 1st and second would make me throw up also, not that I don't want to see any naked girls, it is just that seeing 16 bit nakedness would not look good, especially from a video game hero, and at that, one of the most popular things on earth.
Besides, what would be the plot, to rescue naked peach from bowser before he vialates her naked body and do it himself?
Pretty stupid plot if it isn't hentai (and hentai should only look good too, not like this. In other words, ANIME)

Thinking this over a bit, I think I might just take the time to remove the clothes from Mario's Graphics.
It might come of use if and/or when someone wants to give Mario an entirely new outfit, or in this case, searching for said outfit.
