I think I'm sick. Nose was running all night, I have a sore throat, and my stomach hurts really badly. This weekend isn't off to a very great start...

You missed a lot of things here (the Derpy Backslide Institute for the Mentally Special forum (which is now a subforum)) and some other things I don't remember.

Yeah, it's impossible to tell all the stuff that happens in a three-months period on SMW Central.
Welcome back. Also, are you going to keep the Guess the SMW Level game running? Please say so.

holy shit its wormer. I thought i'd never see you again.
10 bucks you dont know who i am
Anyway in terms of school, Geography is nuts. First off, we learn next to nothing, we just discuss current issues. Ever heard of operation northwood? excatly. plus when it comes to marking he is bat-shit insane, and around half the class failed every one of his quizzes.
School is going to be fun.

I going for 2 more years of (UK) College, I was doing a more general media course last year as I didn't know what kind of industry I wanted to get into.
I was going to somehow find a way to get into Uni (since damn it's fuck expensive) and do more filming stuff, but I found that my college was starting a course that helps you get into the games industry over here.
So since college courses don't require you to pay till your over 19 and the fact that it was suited toward the stuff I was good at last year (Maya, ect). I decided to just do the course and if I felt I wasn't going to go anywhere with this, and can still fall back on what I learned last year.
Still, I always wanted to do 3D modelling as a profession, and well I already knew a lot about the games industry in the UK (When I was 13 I had ambitions of working at Team 17. Something I gave up when realizing I would of have probably needed to be more programming savvy). So it would be awesome if I can go down this path I'm currently on.

I just started to write the prologue of my YA fantasy novel, Equinox, today. Right now I'm at 500~ words and I'm on page three. I'm really excited for this one, mostly because I have a very good idea of what the world the characters live in is like.

Sounds exciting, especially since you are pretty young to be writing a novel. Of course, considering that you seem pretty sure of yourself, your probably going to one of those young genius ;D.

Well,
- my spare period one means I get to wake up 2 hours later then I'd have to otherwise.
- period 2 english is full of idiots so the teacher thinks she has to go slow. We're currently learning about science fiction so it's unfortunate we don't get to cover as many stories as I wanted to but it's pretty good nonetheless.
- photography is pretty swell, learn for 25 minutes then roam the neighbourhood for the rest of the period
- business marketing is a joke. We have to follow a powerpoint the teacher put online so my friend and I just copy all the notes on the first day then hang out. Currently we're 3 weeks ahead.
Why did I quote a post saying I hate school? Well,

Ok not-italian people.
I was wondering this since this june, when i went to France for the annual animation festival with the art academy i used to attend until two months ago.
I know one classmate has gone there with a motorbike, and when he arrived to france, he found a straight road, and exceeded the speed limit, then he was stopped by policemen. They wanted to confiscate his motorbike, but he, not even knowing french, just begged like a prayer, from what i have understood. The policemen, then, after other begging, did laugh at him and let him go then. I said they were right for stopping him for road infringement, but they said me no, that they were too harsh for stopping him for a clear infringemet. I just didn't want to argue.
Now, aside the fact i would feel a shit and the fact they those policemen were bad because they shouldn't have laughed at him and should hav confiscated his motorbike, What do you think? Did they something of right? You know, in Italy, generally, people don't respect road rules and laws, but, because of this, we have a lot of car accidents. And i hate to listen things like "policemen out of Italy are too harsh".

While it is wrong that they let him go, again, he did not speak French, meaning that the policemen would have had a hard time charging him, because he "technically" wouldn't know why he was brought in.

(Technically this could be its own thread in the Reality Corner, but I feel like this is more like... just a bit of a thing I felt like brain-dumping in here.)
So, I've been thinking about gender, and more importantly, what it means to me, and I've realized that there's something about it that makes me a bit uncomfortable. It's like... when you're born you're sorted into one of two groups, and which group you're sorted into decides how people look at you. Even if people aren't raging sexists, there's still some subconscious bias against different people of different genders. Like... a girl who is a gamer is met with some level of surprise, because we all expect them not to be - we all have expectations of males and females, and even if some people don't react with negativity when these expectations aren't met, there's still some level of surprise. Gender decides what people see as 'rebellion' from the norm. It's like, you're given a set path, and while you can make your own and branch out from it... even if you do, that original path is still there, and you're considered to have veered away from it. I think it would be better if a path wasn't there at all, if every path was made by people themselves, not by society. A guy can like sports. A girl can like fashion. And vice-versa. But, in today's society, you're seen as either following the path or breaking away from it. You can take a third option, but that third option was never there in the first place. Everybody will know you 'cheated' - they won't all react negatively to it, no, but it'll still be considered as cheating.
I suppose the point of this post is... I'm sick of people having these expectations of me, and more importantly, people seeing me as 'different' from the 'norm' (meaning what's considered 'normal' for males). You know, I used to get mad when people thought I was female. 'Collen' does look a little like 'Colleen'. But now... I don't really care either way what people call me anymore. He, him. She, her. Xe, xir. Whatever. Don't care. Gender has never meant much to me other than what people call me, and what people want me to call them. I refuse to really take it any further. Gender is practically meaningless to me and I only consider it when choosing what pronouns I'll use when talking.
My gender is just... a gender. Agender.
...so, yeah. I sort of rambled a bit up there and made a likely overcomplicated and stupid metaphor, but I've been brooding on this for a little while now and I feel like I should just... get it out, y'know?

I feel ya, Delta. I resolve that by not caring about being "different." Lots of people seem to think "normal" is good and "weird" is bad, and I reject that and consider them neutral descriptors. So people can call me weird if they want; I don't consider it an insult. I'll act how I want to act, and if it's in line with gender stereotypes or not is irrelevant to me.
Curious though: You say gender doesn't matter in any way to you. What about sexuality? You pansexual, or asexual?

I suppose pansexual would be the best descriptor word, yes. I'm glad you agree with me. Pretty much the reason why I do not like school much is that everybody care too much about 'normality'. Everybody has to be straight and their gender has to match their genitalia. I'm willing to bet that if I told people about my gender and my sexuality, they'd either make fun of me or just think I'm trying to be "different" to get attention. But I care more about what makes me feel comfortable about myself rather than what others think of me.

Man, there's nothing more hilarious than being in a lab where the people instructing you are younger and in an earlier year than you are. It's even better when they try to act like they're on top of the world when they're like, one year ahead of the lab they're teaching.
At least they're nice enough.

It merely highlights the stupidity of college/university studies.
Bad enough you get an incompetent teacher; nooo, you have to work with FELLOW STUDENTS a year ahead. Talk about quality education. I almost shudder at the thought.

Uh, that's common in all university labs, especially at my university. There are normally about 20-25 lab sections and for obvious reasons, one prof can't run them all. They'll hire TAs to do the job for them.
This is just one case where the TAs need to remove the sticks from their ass and realize they're not that special.
