Tip: If you're using the wall-running purple triangles in your hack, remember to add tile 1EB (or a tile that acts like tile 1EB) underneath it. Extended object 44/45 will include this tile for you.

Hey there

Okay, first thing: I hope I spelled the title right, caus' my english sucks..

Okay, as the title says Mario needs to rescue somebody .. he don't know who .. he just needs to. I know, amazing plot..

My hack includes ExGFX, music, sprites, HDMA and some ASM.

Well here are some pictures:

Hey Kids..

Title Screen .. yeah, the first level is the intro video, too. (I fixed the grammar error..)

World 1.

Picture of the first level.

And a video of the first level.
<object width="640" height="505"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/Ruk15wVfVgA&hl=de_DE&fs=1&color1=0x5d1719&color2=0xcd311b"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/Ruk15wVfVgA&hl=de_DE&fs=1&color1=0x5d1719&color2=0xcd311b" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="640" height="505"></embed></object>

Oh .. and I just noticed that there's a little graphic bug if you get 10 points .. like by getiing a coin or so. I'll fix that.

That's all for now.
Over and out. *kkrsh*

Hey there back.

Its 'rescuing' but other than that, your English is pretty good. Your hack looks like fun from the first level as well. The one thing you may want to change are the bushes that Mario can stand behind. If Mario jumps up through a cliff with one of those bushes, he is in front of the cliff but behind the bush that is on the cliff. Good job otherwise.

PS: I love Kirby music.
Thanks. I'll fix the errors now. ;)
Also, you should try messing around with the overworld pallette to make it more unique. Great level, though!
Things I changed and fixed so far:
- grammar error in the title
- overworld palette of world 1
- some little things in the first level

Okay, here's a picture of new overworld palette .. looks better now, huh?

And a little screenshot of the second level:

That's all for now.

(Btw, 100th post! #w{=3})

Sieht echt gut aus. Die OW Palette gefällt mir.
Nice 100th post! #w{=)}
The OW palette looks fantastic and I don't see any cutoff or perspective errors either.

The design of the first level looks great. It's not too hard or too easy. It's just the right difficulty. The palette looks nice too and the BG fits nicely. Music also fits.

Can't really comment much on the 2nd level but it looks good from what I see in the screen. I like the BG.

One last thing to point out, in the level name, shouldn't it be King Koopa's Land?

Use this patch.

This looks pretty good so far. Nice work!
I already got this from a friend of mine, thanks anyways. ;)

The background of this level looks nice.
And the OW palette indeed looks better with that palette instead of the old one.
However there are a few minor layer priority errors, that don't need to be fixed, but it would be nice to see them fixed.

Anyways, the hack looks promising, and I hope it won't get lost like the other one...

I have a few complaints, but other than that, it looks good.

1. You should be able to go in front of the green pillars that hold the mushrooms up. It looks weird (at least in my opinion) if you go behind them.
2. The blue pillars (which I assume are solid) should be a darker color, as to indicate that they are in fact solid.
3. Take the moon out of the background. It looks odd in the daytime.

Other than that, great job!
Very nice work, FreakGamer. I really liked the music, and the whole athletic level feel in it. Great work! ;)
I'm searching for some beta testers. Anyone interested?

Your hack seems pretty great! I will have some free time now (school ends in the Wednesday for me), so I can be one of your beta-testers.
I could try some beta-testing. I've never done it before but you got to start somewhere.
Allright. I'll send you the ro.. I mean IPS file and you can test it. Thanks. ;)
