Since the massive late February snowstorm in the NE, I have been unable to upload stuff from my computer (with a few random exceptions). I am, however, able to upload things from my Blackberry Storm (an annoying process). I was wondering if there is some sort of rule that prohibits being logged in on two different computers (or in this case, a computer & a phone) at the same time? I'm about to make the latest update to my Hack thread and I figured I'd rather ask than have someone suspect something shady. Thanks!

It's completely fine. Just make sure to log-out if you're using a school or public computer (and clear cookies and passwords and such), lest someone else use your account.
(Also, all IP addresses are logged)

The problem you are describing sounds odd. A snowstorm should have absolutely no effect on that. Perhaps you can describe the problem a bit more thoroughly?
And no, there is no problem in logging into the same account from multiple computers.

It wasn't the snowstorm as much as a brief brownout/power surge that happened during it. We have HughesNet satellite internet and whatever uploads things back to the internet hasn't really worked since.
Its not a SMWCentral exclusive problem so don't worry about the site. I've had the same problem with YouTube, Facebook, Photobucket, Yahoo Mail, etc. I believe my parents have plans on getting a new router at some point. Thanks for answering my question though.

Still, even accessing a website requires you to upload a small amount of data to the server to tell it what to actually send you.
