New hack? WTF?

Well no it aint.
In the past few months I have gotten better at hacking and understanding the latest version of LM. My hack S"M"W was started in LM's older version so you can see where things "chnaged". Ive deciced to re-do my hack seeing how the summer is up and Im full of ideas.

With this time I hope to release a demo of S"M"W. There thread is called "N"SMW because Im re-doing alot of stuff and well this is new.
Why a new thread though? Well the other was full of older stuff so to prevent any confusion I thought a new thread would be ok.

Lastly my other hack, Ludwigs Symphony will be worked on as a side hack and updates will be in other threads such as the SS thread.
Also my Beta testers Im sorry you have to wait longer before testing but I think its worth the wait for a better final hack. B)

Anyway with this re-doing and re-vamping I changed the story alot...

Story: Reswob Tuppa kidnaps Princess Peachy, ruler of the Mushroomy Kingdom and takes her up to his hideout it orbit of the kingdom. The only way to get there is to use the switch star, sadly Reswob made the switch satr not work using his dark magic so the heros of the kingdom, Mario and Luigi must go and get the 4 switches and make the switch star work again.

So yeah the story revolves around getting the switches. Also there will be secret exits for once in my hack.

So without further ado, here is the first level, which is the road to the castle and switch star, which is currently broken.

I like the graphical style the most!
I like what I am seeing so far so keep it up! Graphics are impressive.
There is something about your graphic style that is fascinating me! You are really good at holding the same style trough out your hacks.

Hahaha! those Rex'es/Koopas looks so wackey. Also, its good to see that I'm not alone using fake HDMA^^
Btw, you got two cut-offs in the mountains in the BG if you look close.

I hope something you are adding in are hidden paths that reveal after levels are beaten...

Well yeah I'm waiting for my "no I don't want to" response.

I am looking forward to this and waiting to see if you are going to take advantage of the 2 Extra GFX slots.

I don't know why but I don't like Mario graphics that much, but the graphics are simple but really good

You could draw them, should be an easy task.

Your OW look good, but I miss some more of your graphics, like the trees. You should make a new style to the island tiles, the ground in other words. Maybe make so new sea waves too.

The underground pic is nice. I like the palette and the bird. The mushroom in the status bar looks extreme wacky!

Actually, he doesn't have to draw them. They're already in the Map16 page. All he needs to do is look. C'mon, 1UPdudes, don't pull the, "I'm lazy so I'm gonna leave it" on us :<
Nice overworld but what was wrong with importing it from your old version? Also, why don't you redo the underground tileset in your style?

Cartoony-type GFX are my favorite.

Level design's pretty good, those graphics just kick ass!

They look weird, but it's a nice change of pace.
Larrymatt: New overall story needs a new overall overworld. B)
As for the UG tileset, I actully like SMW's.

Anywas here is level 2, Its a underground level.

You need a blue stache switch to get out. (P-switch with facial hair)

Really old GFX I made, they are Sombretoes....(bad pun)

Thats a steep slope.....
Also this level will have a old "elavatror" section whcih you use to get out.

Lastly I made a castle level where you get to look around. It aint much but its something I wanted to do. You leave the level by going outside to the castle grounds and going to the right.

Also here is the World List:

W1: Grassland
W2: Desert
W3: Beach/Island
W4: Forest Swamp
W5: Ice cave
W6: Mountains
W7: Reswobs Deadly Orbit
I like the underground pallete but the castle one could be custom. Other then that, nice work.
LOL! Is that "Mario" when you get a balloon?? Also: Show us stache switch plox.
Great as always. the ballon with Mario's head is very funny, and your OW is well better then before, but i see a little cutoff in one of the two green hills on the top, also the OW Mario GFX is awesome.
Everest: Custom Pallette was the last thing on my mind when making that level. I will go back to it later.

Flareblade: Yes that is balloon mario.

TheGamer: Cheers, Overworlds aint my best skill but Ive tried hard on this one and the cutoff is fixed.

Huh? A blocked passage? Maybe something undeground would help get the secret exit....
