Now I can tell what sites are porn sites. I don't really like looking at porn but for other people who do, they can atleast cut out the fake virus websites.

lolinnuendo. Oh, and this will let me find porn more easily. AWESOME.

Well, that's a good thing, I see no harm. However, I'd say there are far too many porn sites now to be of too much use. That is, until a decade in the future when most sites that are on now go down for whatever reason, as old websites typically do.

Definitely is going to stand out with the other domains like .com for community, .net for network, .org for orgy organization

I think ".adu", for "adult" would be better.

Ehh, .xxx would suit it better because of the X-Rating I guess.

That could get mixed up with .edu and that wouldn't be good.

The problem, however, is that it's optional. I heard something about this somewhere else (I can't remember where), and some of them were whining about "separating porn from the rest of the Internet" or some crap like that. I suppose maybe the ones that do use the .xxx will be...watched more carefully to prevent malware attacks and the like, but I don't know.

Yes, as someone said on another board I go to, ".xxx is having stricter requirements for registration, the main purpose of which is mitigating and controlling spyware and viruses." Therefore, sites with that domain can be considered of higher quality, having gone through registration and such, showing the website owner is responsible and such.
Also, although there are quite a number of sites that don't use the domain, and as such will take a really long time for this to be in common use, sites can still register the domain, and redirect their old site there.
Some do claim that this will herd all the porn sites together in an attempt to shut them all down, but I highly doubt this will happen, since the old domains are still available, and porn is likely a large industry that plenty of people/companies/whatever make a lot of money from, be it selling items, subscriptions, through traffic, etc.

But there wouldn't be a website called
www.aitkencollege.adu.au, since it wouldn't exist.

I heard on the Wii News Channel (heh) a couple of years ago that approving the .xxx domain was still in question. Guess they finally did it.

I don't watch Triple-X porn, but I think it should be illegal.

What do you mean. Do you mean that porn should be illegal? You know that most sites on the internet are porn sites, right?
If you don't mean that, no idea.

xxx as a domain name seems a bit pointless unless it's made manditory. From the porn hosts' perspective, this would be nothing but a loss of business, because for everywhere with public internet that has a filter, xxx would most likely be blacklisted without a second thought.
