I really like what you did with the graphics, from the enemies to the blocks, and especially the FG and BG. And I agree with GeorgeVsSonic, the extending block is a very creative idea, I love it! Keep this up, no matter how much time it takes to make something new!
Consistency truly is the factor that separates the great from the best.

Also, no words.
Imho:
Huh... Uhrix is using the player gfx at the second screenshot... that first is (obviously) a old screenshot.
Thank you guys, I'm really glad you like it!
To say some more about that level, I'll add more decorations to it, and it will be a bit longer with a midtway point. I'll also use Jimmy's sampled YI music for this hack, the music in the video was used cus I didn't want to add addmusic at this point.

@ GeorgeVsSonic: I just have to tell you how that pipe sprite was a pain in the ass to get to work right. This was not because the GFX is sorted on 3 different GFX files, but because the round top edges would get covered by the middle pipe tile. So what I did was to make the blank space on the round edges the same color as the green BG, so it would seem like the edges are blank.. kinda hard to explain.. Anyway, I can understand what you mean by much yellow in the FG, but I've changed it back and forth so many times, it just look ok on my screen as it is now, but I'll look at that later some time. Also, about the old GFX, I'm not sure what to do with it yet.

@ KPhoenix: I get what you say, but first of all, accurate lightning has never been important to me in the hack I make, and second; that block is now the old block that I doesn't use, and I actually think that shading would been a bad choice for the new bold lined block, or maybe I'm wrong.

Also, funny thing about postcount: I was going to post this update as my 1300th post, since I first announced A Block's Life as my 300th post. But I missed it...so this is my 1300 post...lolwhocares

VERY nice idea here. i like to see what here idea you have.

At least you cannot has a character was is spin jumped-on or grabble. I wonder how you can do a Yoshi? I shall play this when done.

EDIT: Btw, I've been here since the project started, and I'm really looking forward to paying this when it comes out. Count me in if you ever need beta testers.

This is sparta beautiful! I like how the graphics add to a YI-feel while maintaining SMW-Style. You don't need to add lighting, in my opinion. It looks fine on it's own.

Good luck, Uhrix!
