Tip: Take advantage of easy to install Patches in your hack. The No More Sprite Tile Limits patch should be considered if you're encountering glitches where Mario and/or sprites are turning invisible.

As it turns out, my ISP decided to change the protocol used for their subscribers to access the Internet. This resulted in my Internet connection dropping at about 2:15 AM local time. I didn't get it up until now because I've been away the entire day.

Nobody told me about the change, but when I called my ISP, they said that we should have received a letter about a month ago. Either my dad didn't tell me about it, or it's in the bunch of unread letters waiting for my parents when they return from their vacation.

The change of protocol also resulted in my IP address being changed from 217.198.212.215 to 92.246.28.59. This means that I had to update all of my domains to point to the new IP address. Some of you may have had to wait additionally for your ISP's DNS servers to update to reflect these changes.

Rest assured, we aren't being hacked and nothing has happened to the server. We should be back up to speed in no time.

Sorry for any inconvenience.
k
It's cool Kieran, SMWC and Caffie are working for me. Fortunately I didn't have to wait for DNS...
Gave me quite a scare. Glad to see we're back.
Thats funny that this decided to happen right at the height of the "take over"
Glad to see it's finally back. Pretty crazy stuff.
It's okay Kieran, everything turned out for the better. Hopefully this take-over will end soon. ...If not...*sharpens sword*

Glad the sites back! #w{=P}
Weeee.

Thanks to the downtime, my IRC server AbsolNet actually had users on it! 27 to be exact.

It is a new record!

Lost my custom title in this mess, along with hack moderator powers.

lol?
I thought you were restoring a backup after I heard about the hostile takeover the morning after over Skype. Seemed the kind of thing that would happen after such a performance.
Nah. It was just shits and giggles.
Downtime forces me to actually work on stuff. lol

Anyways, glad to see it back.
Well... it's back... finally.

Let's forget all this shit actually happened.
This is good to know, I was a bit scared, what will happen. But very nice to see, that everything is going back to normal.
I'm glad it's finally back. At least all the madness was somewhat entertaining.
Like I told Ersanio earlier - times like these make me realize how much time I spend on this site. It's nice to have it back.
I'm glad the site's back. After hearing about the takeover I thought the site was gone for good. I also agree with Andy, I didn't realise how much time I spend on this site either.

This.

I totally agree Andy. I don't even realize how much less I have to do when this site is down.

On the plus side, Smallhacker is defeated now.

It had to go down half way through the takeover though...
