Is the first spinjump clip supposed to be hard to do? (I did manage to do it, obviously from my video comment, but Mario seems to die a lot of the time unless you quickly press the button again)

I really like the FG palette here. It blends quite smoothly. (not too much light-dark contrast on the fg)

It wasn't meant to be super hard, but that's just how it turned out.

Heh, I've been playing this since I downloaded it a couple days ago, and it's pretty fun! Definitely give this a run if you're into hacks with a vanilla feel. I'll give it a review and a vote for featured when it's accepted.

*cough*

Also, thank you G.n.k. for that comment.

Gawd, I completely forgot I said that. Sorry. #w{:s}

Try moving it down with speed ;)

EDIT: I can :P

That's probably just YouTubes crappy framerate.
If you read the current thread title, I am making a version 1.2, with bugfixes and stuff.

HOWEVER, I was also considering doing things like adding custom palettes to levels that don't have them, adding more decorations (especially to the earlier levels), maybe even adding new levels.

What do you think?
That'd be cool, especially the part about more custom palletes. Custom palletes added to vanilla levels are the deliciousness. :3

Also, the Special World did feel a tad on the short side...
Should I go ahead with it, I'd probably focus more on replacing levels I didn't like ("Mud Trap Walk" is bleh), then make new levels.

I do agree with you about the length of the special world. It's quite small. But because of the difficulty of the levels and the way that world works, I don't think it'd be good to make it longer. However, I believe I have an unused submap that I could use as a star world of sorts. I'll go look.
Nothing is wrong with doing a little update, Im sure that you will tweak a few things to make them more good. :D
I assure you, the update will be quite big. A list of things I'm planning on doing:

- giving custom palettes to levels that didn't already have them (most likely global palette changes)
- maybe custom overworld palettes to maps that didn't already have them
- 3 levels will be added to the main path
- 3 levels will be replaced/redone
- at least 10 levels will be made longer or have new areas added to them
- misc. bugfixes and stuff
