I know, completely insane question, I'm just curious to know how that level works.
I based it off the Bomb Koopa that came with the original Sprite Tool. It was the first 16x32 sprite I could find that would be a good fit for Luigi. I set the "Process While Off Screen" property to have Luigi keep moving even if you moved off-screen.

Oh, that's interesting. I've never used the original Bomb Koopa sprite, so it explains why I couldn't recognise it.
Oh, and am I right in guessing that the Luigi and Boo race levels work by detecting if a sprite has touched the custom block and teleporting the player if so?

Yep, both Luigi and the Boo races work in a similar manner. The blocks detect whether the sprite has touched it and teleports back to the beginning if it has.

I already explained it on the first post of this page.
As for the next hack, I initially had the idea to make it a completely puzzle based hack. Mario would need to use objects and enemies in the environment to overcome different obstacles. Mario couldn't die: if he fell in a pit, he got pushed back to the surface, and if he got hit by an enemy, he only got knocked back. It would've taken place in an icy underworld setting. That's where the Keytastrophe and Final Destination mix came into play. I started experimenting and almost finished a level, but a lot of things didn't work how I wanted, so the task seems too daunting. Looks like I need to think of a different concept.

Speaking of the new hack, I settled on another concept. It's still very similar to my previous idea, I just needed time to think it through and come up with a more interesting setup. The next hack will be a departure from traditional style SMW hacks. One of my favorite genres of games other than platforming is adventure. This new hack will explore a similar style. Not to a tee, of course, as I'm still using SMW as a base. However, it will contain adventure game elements, such as using objects in the environment to overcome obstacles, and talking with characters to guide you along the way. I'd still say it'll be a mix between Keytastrophe and Final Destination.
One other note. In many adventure games, the main character can't die. The same thing will hold true for this upcoming hack. ;)
I've already started getting some things set up in a ROM. I should have a teaser of sorts to show off soon. Stay tuned.

Sure, I can do that.

I recall seeing that Randor character after Roth surfaced. I don't care, though.

Looks... Nice, but I can't really be sure considering there's only one pic.
(notices the purple dude)
Uhhhhhh, Roth looks more like Sniggerbobble, not Randor.
Whatever, this is not a thread for the DDD.
