Mario's Holiday is a side hack which I am working on.
Story
Whilst on holiday, Mario hears rumors of a 'Power Switch' which can make wishes come true. Mario, wanting to have an endless supply of Mushrooms, decides to search for the Power Switch.
There will be four worlds in this hack, with around 5 levels in each.
There will be an 'extra level' in each world once you complete the game, similar to Yoshi's Island.
W1 - Jungle World
Explore the vast forest, a lake, the sewers and even a haunted cabin in the first world of Mario's Holiday
creepy Cabin
This is the last level in W1 and it also holds the first boss of the game, Big Boo.

Click Clock Wood
This is the secret level in World 1. You have to finish the main game to unlock these levels. The secret level in each World are a little harder than the ordinary levels in the world.
Like click clock wood in banjo kazooie, the level is split into four seasons.
What do you think so far?

Looks good so far, but I think you should add a few more sprites.

Some nice palletes there, looks good so far. I like the idea of click clock wood, does the level change with each season (like in Banjo- Kazooie), or is there a section of the level for each season?

@mresc - The level changes in each season like banjo kazooie.
I have two more screens. These screens are of 'Mushroom Mayhem, an athletic level that will feature in world 1.

You seem to be good with level design, but you need more colectables and enemies. Your palettes are decent and the plot is fair enough. This seems like quite cool hack to play, keep me updated!

The tileset combination and the palletes make the level look very eye-pleasing. But I also think that perhaps you should put some more coins/enemies in though to add a bit more challenge, otherwise it's pretty good overall.

Hahaha, I love it when people mix tilesets together. It produces quite a nice result. I really like the plot you came up with. Great looking vanilla-ish hack!
Will you be using custom music?

@goldensonic - I will be using YI music. It is awesome.

I am not sure, to be honest. I will be mixing tilesets like so throughout the hack, but I most likely will use a custom boss for the final level and some fonts for the title screen.

I have a screen of the beginning of 'Slimy Sewers' and an extra screen of Mushroom Mayhem.

I have 4 new screens of a cave level in my hack:

I would like some suggestions for the name of this level, as I do not like the current name of the level (Slimy Sewers)

Mushroom Mayhem looks good, the tilesets and palettes go well together. I also like the palette of Slimy Sewers.
The cave level looks to have some great level design from those screenshots. Those drybone heads (dry-heads?) are interesting, are they enemies or just part of the scenery?
As for a new level name, I think perhaps something like 'Murky Cavern' or 'Murky Labyrinth' might work? Although I do actually think the name 'Slimy Sewers' sounds fine.

I was just talking about the graphical style, really, but meh.
I do like the name Slimy Sewers, but it'd fit more in a more pipe centric level. Meh.
USING MEH TWICE IN THE SAME POST FTW!

@Daegon - Can you suggest how I could improve, then?
@other - If you like the name 'Slimy Sewers', then I will keep it.
@MResc - the drybones are part of the scenary, while the grinders and vertical spikes hurt mario.
I want to show a 90% complete video of Mushroom Mayhem.
Before I post, I would like to point out:
-The OW is beta. I WILL fix the transparancy issue.
-I have a counter which shows the total number of Yoshi Coins
collected. This counter is just for statistics.
-I am not too happy with the title screen.
Can anyone suggest improvements?

Looking good so far, very nice palettes and tileset combos. I'm not a big fan of the Dry Bones heads sticking out from the ground though. And what tiles are those bushes in the Mushroom Mayhem level? I don't recall ever seeing bushes quite like those before.

That level's great, nice graphic tileset combos, and it looks pretty fun too, it's good to see fuzzies used more often in a level as I haven't seen them much in other hacks i've played.
I think the title screen looks ok as it is, but if you want to change it, perhaps adding some kind of border around the title might improve it a bit?

@Marhi - The dry bones head are there for decoration. I quite like them, to be honest, and the level would look rather bland without them.
The Mushroom Mayhem are normal bushes found it the Tileset specific tiles. They were unused in the original SMW.
@MR esc - Thank you. I try to be different and also decorative as possible in my hack to make it look nice. I am glad you like it
@Daegon - I have tried lightenening the palette, but it does not fit within the atmosphere of the level. Thanks anyway, though.
More stuff for slimy Sewers.
Are you ever frustrasted that most World 1 cave levels have a very bright atmosphere?
