With a large sigh of relief, I'd like to say that the hack is "done" .. finally. All of the bosses are in, all of the levels are in, all of the story, music, etc. is in. There are still a few bugs in the hack that myself and a few others (namely, edit1754) are sorting out before the official beta of the ROM is sent out. Over the past month, we've made several minor and major changes to some levels - nothing design-wise, really, but adding a few sprites here or there, changing, the GFX, etc. If you have any last minute touch-ups you'd like to make, or want to play your level again to ensure you are satisfied with it, now would be a good time to do so. As in, within the next 7-10 days.
But I liked my level how it was before!
If you have a complaint about a change made to your level (assuming a change WAS made), please inform me via PM or in this thread. Unless I have a really, really good reason for setting it to what it is, I will change whatever you request me to.
When will this hack be done?
Predictions are never accurate. We thought it would be ready in summer, but it turns out that a lot of additions were made to the hack. I assure you, the delay was for the best. The hack is exponentially better than it would have been had I sent out a half-assed copy of it. However, since people are constantly asking .. if I had to make a rough guess, I'd say the chosen beta testers should receive the base ROM by next Friday, which means a release date should be within 2-3 weeks.
If you have any questions, comments, or concerns at all in regards to An SMW Central Production, or some last minute thoughts, this is the place to post them. Thank you everyone for pushing this project to completion.

I am very glad to hear the hack is more-or-less done. Though my involvement with it has been minimal, it has been a pleasure to watch its revival and the onrush of enthusiasm everyone has shown.

Congrats SNN on finishing what once was a lost cause. When do i get my share of the money? We are selling this, right?

This has been something that I've been waiting on for a good amount of this year, and it's awesome to see that the end is in sight.
It also felt very nice to have the opportunity to participate in this great project (even though I made only one main level and one void level), and I'm fairly certain that everyone else who had a part in this feels the same way.
Let's bring this puppy home!

Holy shit I'm excited this is almost done; I can't wait to play it. Watching the intense trailer has made me more excited for this hack than for any actual videogame in recent memory.

This is exciting news. I have enjoyed making my level for the hack, and can't wait until its release. Well done SNN and the team for putting together and organizing this hack.

yeah this.
I fixed a patch and that's about it. I first thought this thing would be a bust but it came together pretty well so good work everyone. If another one of these were to be arranged I'd get more involved for sure.

Its pretty cool to see this almost done. I remember when this forum was buried in with Basic Hacking, and was barely active.
When this gets released, I am going to see how much bugs that should have been pointed out from beta testers.

It's good to see this was finished despite me pulling an icegoom for three months. While I worked on some minor graphical edits and redid my level I played bits and pieces of other levels and enjoyed it a lot, so high hopes for the rest of the hack here.
Can't wait for smwcpro 2! = )

Awesome work, guys. I remember when I first saw this project, the first screenshots and the final version is completely different, it was an outstanding work for sure. I'm pretty sure this will take place between the most famous and biggest hacks, and I think it's absolutely worthy.
I can't wait to play the finished version. I'll try to do my best on beta testing the hack.

Awesome. This is been on hell of a project, i'm glad we got this finished. I'm so happy about this finishing, but I can't write it down (or type, rather) into words. Anyway I can just tell this will be the most awesome thing to ever awesomely appear in the SMWC's awesome corner (Or should I say, Awesome Centre).
maybe we can do a sequal later *wink* *wink*
