Make sure you're using the latest LevelASM, inserting the code properly and have it inserted somewhere save (free spot) in your ROM. Usually the codes are not carrying over to other levels IF there's NO code to execute in that level (e.g. JSL, direct code etc)...
How does your set up in levelasm look like?
Keep in mind that scrolling effects need to be inserted in levelcode.asm not the init file!
I've not tested it with LM 1.6- since I was already using LM 1.7+ when I released it. May as well try updating LM, too?

Make sure you are using WinRar or 7zip or try redownloading.

As I said, I am not using scrolling. About the LM, probably should, that would probably fix the problem. I'll try it, as I am using the latest LevelASM, 1.4, I believe???
