Just to say that this project is a bit delayed as I was quite ill over Christmas and didn't get any time whatsoever to work on it. I will now hope for it to be ready by March, It is all finished, I just need to play it through a couple of times to check there's no errors and creat an intro level, and that's it.

Hi everyone. I have made my IPS and testing it at the moment. Here is a link to a taster video of my fifth level, on youtube.

Feel free to comment, I probably won't change it now but would be interested to hear what you all think anyway.
Edit: this level is meant to be a homage to SMW kaizo hacks, hence the bullet bill opening, the shell jumps, playing as Mario for a long time etc. The other levels have more of a yoshi's island feel to them.

Dude, it looks pretty sweet! I have never played any YI hacks, which I do not know if I ever could, just because maybe it wouldn't seem right? But I am willing to try playing yours because I enjoy hard games >=D

I loved the level, not sure if you did it using tools but it looked like a Kazio should (the awesome, think-on-your feet action taste I love seeing). Gameplay is nice, I won't bee playing but you definitely entertained me.

I used savestates but not slowdown or other tools in the video.

Looks good, a new refreshing concept to YI hacking! I agree that allot of elements that Yoshi's Island has to offer, a good kaizo hack would make!
Such as Spike descents, lava caves, baby Mario running on spikes etc.

I hope to release the IPS patch really soon (within a few days) so for the sake of spoilers you may not want to watch these videos- if you want to play the hack- as it gives away what you need to do to get through the levels.
I will wait until the hack is released before I put any more videos on youtube, for this reason.

It's a lot harder. You need savestates, whereas Kamek's Revenge was challening, but perfectly possible without.
But don't let that put you off! There is a difficulty curve, so I hope that the player will grow into the hack and not find it too crazy until the final stages. And if you get that far, you'll want to complete it.

This hack looks pretty creative. Even though I don't normally play Kaizo hacks, I think I might actually try this when it's released...
By the way, just wondering, are you planning to disable/change the automated messages?
(Also I had no idea Yoshi could eat Piranha Plants when they're small like that.)
