NEW update! 
Well, I finally went ahead and, with the help of HuFlungDu's patch and some guidance from Roy, added the feature to choose the color Shy Guy you wish to play as.

Man, I really like the way this hack is shaping up! The Gimmicks and Power-ups seem really neat too! The idea of choosing a different colored shy guys is also a really cool idea. I applaud you.

Thanks, I'm glad you like it. Unlike the powerup concepts which were Construct's ideas, I can take credit for coming up with the colors idea myself, and I'm glad to see that people like it. I thought it was a pretty unique and interesting idea, so I was interested to see what others would think about it.

Who doesn't want to say that? (besides non-LPers and Incredibly Busy LPers)
Also.. the colors are Red, Blue and Green?.. I'd have a hard time choosing.. considering I don't really adore either of those colors.

Well, at leas you have a choice, and this is something I've never seen done before. It's more than what other hacks will offer, so bleh. And I think red, green, and blue are colors that will please most people. I do still need to tweak the palettes from those videos, though.
On an unrelated note, I've been slacking off on this hack lately. I need to finish the Amp boss, extend the castle a bit, and make one more level. Perhaps I'll then release a demo. Just a note: I'm going on a cruise in two days. It will last 5 days, but I'll be taking my laptop. This means I'll probably have an update for you guys when I get back. It'll most likely be the third level, for which I just so happen to have an interesting concept...
Oh, and on another unrelated note, I'll be updating the first post soon to serve as a kind of directory for all of the updates I have posted/will post.

Your ideas are all really amazing! I love the pigit power-up instead of the plain old cape! I also like the color choice!
