Oh... I always wondered what that was for. Thanks.

Ummm... I know that this isn't really on-topic, but for some reason my snes9x RR doesn't allow me to resume recording movies... any idea as to why this is?
When you go to play the movie, uncheck the box that says "Open read only mode." then watch the movie and place a stave state where you want to continue and load the state while still watching the movie.
Okay, today I was playing Brutal Mario, and I witnessed a glitch, that looked like it worked similar to invisible yoshi teleporting.
So I'm in the Four-Room ghost house, and I just get the P-Switch, to get the Koopa, I put the Pswitch on the Used Blocks (with cape and flying) and I hit the P-switch and teleport through the ground to the area with the door that has the P-switch.
If I could perform it again, I would make a video and show it. I even rewinded it, and I couldn't preform it again.
It'd be a nice Kaizo trick, but since you already have the cape, I'm sure corner clipping would be easier..
Edit: Holy crap I just did it again, it has something to do with the interaction, and I didn't even hit the p switch.
Edit2: I know how to do this glitch, and I don't know if it's been recorded.
If you're at the top half of the screen, and run + duck + fly with cape, and hit a cement block or w/e you'll teleport to the bottom half of the screen.
I hope that's not already known..

Video plz?
It sounds kind of like being pushed through the ground, if you ask me.

you sure it isnt a custom block?... because with the details you are giving... well i have no idea of how this glitch works or that it has been discovered...

The only custom blocks used were the on/off switch blocks. The rest were graphical swaps of SMW's blocks.

I would suggest adding the latest entry to the "SMW Glitches" thread.
(I found the glitch by myself yay)

Taking ASM requests! PM me if ya want something, but don't ask for sprites.
Also please install Dropbox It'll help both you and me! :3
The glitch with the duckjumping into the ceiling and warping to the bottom is known. It has only been recreated in that level in Brutal Mario, oddly. I remember seeing a video about it.

Work in progress, I'll likely be going back to redo the earlier levels. The first, fourth, fifth, and sixth levels can be improved.

You sure did a whole bunch of corner clips... that is the fasest tas I have seen so far of it.

SPW3 TAS Part 2 Done at last!!! xDD
SPW3 TAS Part 2 Done at last!!! xDD
I feel the "item swap" segment of the OP is fairly ambiguous, particularly for such a complicated glitch, and should be wrote more thoroughly for such a complicated glitch. If you care enough to read all of this, you will (hopefully) have a comprehensive understanding of all the methods.
Brief
In essence, there are 11 sprites that can be on screen at one point in the game. There are two divisions amongst these sprites:
Division 1, #00 - #09
This division designates "ordinary" sprites. Nearly every sprite goes into this division. Absolutely no sprite can replace another sprite in the first division, APART FROM THE GOAL TAPE! This is where the "item swap" comes from in the first place.
Division 2, #10 - #11
This division consists of items that come out of boxes and items in your reserve.
"First Division" Swap
When the first division is filled, the goal tape will replace a sprite if it is forced to come on screen. So, say for example, you can spit out a shell on the screen before the goal tape appears, eat it, and hopefully the goal tape will replace it.
"Second Division" Swap
When the first AND second divisions are filled, items wanting to go into the second division (for example, an item from a block) will take priority over items currently existing in the second division. So lets take an example whereby the first division is filled, and you spawn two 1-ups from a block. Then, you put Yoshi's tongue onto the first spawned 1-up and hit a P-Switch block. The 1-up on Yoshis tongue will automatically turn into a P-Switch.
Powerup Swap
This is where it gets interesting. There is something unique about powerups in that they can actually be ate twice (you may of done it accidentally, causing two mushrooms to be gained). This is done by making the mushroom (or flower) hit Mario while it is on Yoshi's tongue. The second mushroom however, will become "nothing", and "nothing" will be on Yoshi's tongue. A goal tape appearing on screen will replace the "nothing".
So, how do you get this to work? Essentially, powerups from reserve will go into the second division. In order to get item swap to work, you need to fill the second division so the powerup will go into the first division. There are many ways to do this, including:
● Spawning permanent sprites. This includes P-Switches, Springboards, Keys, Baby Yoshi, Yoshi, etc (see: Chocolate Island 1*).
● "Cancel Eating" Berries.
Once the second division is filled, spawn the item from reserve. It will appear in the first division, then all you need to do is "double eat" it. When the goal tape comes on screen, it replaces the aforementioned "nothing"! This is quite difficult, so keep trying.
*Chocolate Island 1 is a perfect example of permanent sprites being spawned "en route" without any setting up.
"Fire Mario" swap
By far the easiest method of item swapping, all that needs to happen is to collect a coin that is on the end of Yoshi's tongue and make the goal tape spawn on screen. It will replace the "nothing" Yoshi is eating and the goal will hit you. No special circumstances need to be set up for this to be possible.
Note: This is called "Fire Mario" swap because the creator found this method by spin jumping off Yoshi while sticking out his tongue, and collecting the coin that follows. This can just as easily be done with a coin from a silver POW as any powerup status.
Throwblock Swap
By destroying a throwblock that is being pulled to Yoshi's mouth, either by hitting it on a wall or with another throwblock, Yoshi temporarily eats nothing. Again, this can be done to force the goal towards Yoshi. No special circumstances need to be set up for this to occur.
Yoshi 1-UP Swap
Yoshi Egg 1-UPs automatically spawn in the first division, so no special setting up is required. All you have to do is "double eat" the 1-UP to achieve eating nothing and the goal will be dragged to Yoshi's mouth.

Second Division Swap can be seen in the first level of our glitchfest (with the vine being misplaced): Glitchfest

With all that said, keep trying and good luck! \(^o^\);

This is a tas I did of kaizo caverns. I'm pretty sure I broke BOTH ultimaximuses and will da beastes records.

Also, thank boo_block(IRC name) for uploading the video.

Actually, roughly timing it with a stopwatch, I get to the blue pipe in 51 seconds, and you get there in 55 seconds, 4 seconds slower. Of course, this could be off a bit, but I'm pretty sure my TAS was faster.
X( maybe, still I think I cut off a couple of seconds using the jump glitch, But I KNOW I beat will Da beast's.

Lol, that TAS is very dated, and the only reason you beat me is because i was stupid and took the long way at one point.
