Tip: Palettes 0-3 do not work correctly on the overworld unless you use LM's option to disable the event reveal animation.

This hack looks A-MAZE-ING! I love the OverWorld and you have great ideas and level design! That desert level you just shown is very great too :D. When watching it, I almost cried because I was actually making a level for my own hack with the same ExGFX AND song! If someday you play it, don't feel bad about it, I didn't stole it!

*downloading the demo*
Thanks for review!!! :) Yes! :D Reading it was very fun! :) Ok, I hadn't update some days, I was going to change this hack into a proffessional, like made by hack moderator, incredibly fun hack. This day, I had a lot of fun with my new friend, OW layer 3. We were working with palettes, and his GFX. :) After my lose with patches after 2010 vacation, I was afraid of using patches, but I decided to use them carefully. Today, as said, I experimented with layer 3, and I did this:

<object width="480" height="390"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/6xbgJr6Ji2Q?fs=1&hl=pl_PL"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/6xbgJr6Ji2Q?fs=1&hl=pl_PL" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="480" height="390"></embed></object>

Yeah, I'm also making a new level on Mercury (Bowser's Valley). Yes, it's a sublevel of world 3.

That's a screenshot from it. A part of the level. I hope you like this level. And it's not Volcanic Lake anymore.

I'm coming with a new update. I really don't like the "Beta" word, so I'm using romi's addmusic until the real HFD addmusic will come or when I'll end this hack. Here's the freshest desert level. GVSS, do you remember?

Ah, a desert world. It can be really boring, or really fun, depending on the level design of course. I hope your levels will come out well here.

Watch this and see my creativity. :)

lol.

Here's the vid:

<object width="480" height="390"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/37K3VGByJpY?fs=1&hl=pl_PL"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/37K3VGByJpY?fs=1&hl=pl_PL" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="480" height="390"></embed></object>

After youbute fixes the bug, you will be able to watch it. Now, see the vid here:

Triple post... Anyway, mixing tilesets took the hours, but I'm happy cause this level looks very good by it. Wow, I said myself that my level is good. Strange. Here's a vid of this level. And yeah, it's one of switch transitions. It's a toolless video and I tried to play good. Sorry for the munchers' palette, I will change their GFX.

<object width="480" height="390"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/0fvRrZ-C5i0?fs=1&hl=pl_PL"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/0fvRrZ-C5i0?fs=1&hl=pl_PL" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="480" height="390"></embed></object>

Again, watch it here if the above doesn't work: Here I am!

I hope I will meet some comments. :)
Hey man, that looks very good! I love the peaceful style of level design combined with great palettes and a nice cave story track to bring the feeling towards the player. It looks very well decorated too, good job on the mixing. Some passages seam a bit tight, but that's not such a big problem.

Keep up the amazing work :>
Really nice gray-ish pallete.
Thanks, now I'm ok with this level very much. Instead of doing all those desert levels, I decided to make the first fortress! :) I see YT still has that bug with placing videos, so I'll post a link. It's a little part of the fortress, 1/6, can say. I'm not sure about the palette in the second room, so you can help me with that. The room wasn't well decorated, so I used the first castle pillars for it. Tell me what do you think about it. :D

Looks good, but in 0:40 there is a stretch passage that will be very dificult to hang with big Mario.

Also the twhomp-falling rocks don't really do anything meaningful, but that's more like a personal preference.
Looks amazing! I like the palettes and graphical mixes, and the level design also looks very good. But one thing: The second room had A LOT of lag when you played it. Wrong Sprite Memory settings?

Ha holy crap you can say dangerous fortress again.

But anyways yeah, really liking how you designed the fortress and loved the custom music you used for it. Great Work =)
Nice level! I like the lava-chase area, it seems like it'll be a challenge to the player, but shouldn't the lava kill Mario when he touches it?
Wow guys! Thanks, I got more inspiration for it! :) Sure I'll give more feedback for some of your hacks. :D

Now answers:

@Leo137: Thank you very much! :) If those passages look too hard, I will change them. I think that an avearge SMW player should be able to keep the down and right arrows and press jump very fast in order to beat those crawl jumps. The first room has a bad usage of those fallings blocks, but yeah, going to use them very cleverly at next rooms! :)

@GVSS: Huh? Didn't see your comment when I was reading EvilGuy's opinion yesterday. I could just not notice it. Anyway, I'm too lazy to check it now, but I'm sure the sprite memory is 10. I applied the no more limits of sprites a time ago, don't remember when, and I dunno what causes it, and I remember you said that you like the second castle. This is the most laggish level in the history of SMW hacking. The falling rock room of course. Without it even, you can't beat it. Even with those lags it's hard to keep feather and get the moon. Thanks! :)

@EvilGuy0613: Thanks! You don't need to know what I'm planning for the fortress now, but you're right, it IS dangerous! :D Thank you, I love the music there too! :)

@Jeorge535: Thank you. :) Yes, lava kills Mario when he touches it. If you are prepared for this room, it's like the first level. :) Oh, forgot it. First level wasn't as easy as I thought. :P I can't even watch LPers tiring with this. Practice! :)
Amazing overworld. seriously. and I love those graphics for the mercury sublevel! looks awsome so far. quick question though and sorry if someone has asked...how hard do you plan on making this hack?
Thanks, cool day I have today. Fortress is made to the midway point and for an average player it should take 170-200 game seconds to get there. Thanks for asking! :) If you by "hard", mean the difficulty of this hack then I firstly planned to do it very easy but it was on 2010 vacation and I did a crap, then after 100 attempts I decided to keep it more on the difficult side but it depends on the level. If you meant my progress, what I already planeed for this hack then I would write full page of cutscenes for levels I'm planning to do, but it's a mystery for now! :) If you meant my effort, I try to make levels as fast as possible but it doesn't mean I don't put effort. Usually levels take 1-4 days, and levels don't look like a crap because I would never release a bad level, platform hill, for example. It was made in december 2010, and i did an attempt. Graphics were ok, everything was cool, but it was a little hard and undecorated so I had to redo it. If you meant the time I'm going to end it, in december i planned to complete it on the end of the winter, but plans got longer, and I'm going to release it on 2011 vacation, maybe even I'll release it on the anniversary of my joining to SMW central! :) I hope it'll go well with this hack. Also, I could end this fortress today, but I was also making a bonus level that has no exits, so it got longer. I think I'll start a counter of users who love my OW. Really, I think the main map is average, even bad. What do you see in it? :) Making OWs is too important for me. Sometimes I want to be a level-guy, but I always liked OWs in games, so it's my SMW future. :)
Wow, started a level today, finished a level today. Maybe some screenshots from this lvl:

Yep, from the screenshots, you may know what's the point of this level! :)
And I just started one of the largest levels in the game. You can see a pyramid level on the main map, it's a level on the desert. Yeah, I started it and there's a screenshot from this:

Comments are always welcome! :)
I love it! I can't wait for the next demo. Also, I can see you have an angry sun in your level, where did you get it? I never found it.
Thanks King Dedede! :) I found the angry sun here. :)
There are also different threads like this with SML sprites for example. You can search for them, smkdan has cool sprites. :) Also, I think you may be a little sad, but I think I won't release any demo until full version. I'm just afraid that people will find every secret in this demo and in full version they will know everything. I was even afraid of uploading a world 1 demo, but I needed to know how good hacker I am. :) Just waiting... :(

Plump fat thick EDIT: I was playing SMW 7 statues now, and I saw a level on the desert that is called like mine: Bullet Bill Cavern. For first, I was surprised that I called this level like in this hack, for second, it also features those bullet bills from pipes. If someone play it, I didn't steal this level. Yeah, from this hack I got the idea of those bullets, but the name is some really StRaNgE thing happened. :(

From what I can see, (Commenting on your most recent screen shots) The level looks pretty amazing and it is very well decorated.

Ah the sun brings back bad memories XD
Thank you very much! :) The pyramid is a long, difficult, piece of cake, and I need only short one room and a boss for it. And now a question. I know that it's a hard boss, I also had trouble with it when I wasn't as good as now, (even with savestates), so, what do you think about a king thwomp for this pyramid? :P
If you talk about the homing thwomp, forget it if you can't find an original way to use it. It is SO overused. It made me rate The Essence Star 10/10, if there wasn't that boss I would have rated it 11/10 (witch is impossible anyway). But if you have an original way to use it or if you modify it to be killable another way, it could turn out well. I'm not saying that it is a bad boss, I like it, but I'm tired of fighting it over and over again. Also, if you don't make demos until the final product, I would be happy to beta test your work when you'll need it ^^.
