I actually quite enjoy this game (and I was the last person I thought would actually buy it.)
I have the Wii version, and although it's missing a few things (a few of the kill streaks, emblems, one of the zombie maps), I find it enjoyable.
The single player I enjoy, but I die a lot. On normal difficulty. Yeah.
Multiplayer...Is what I find myself playing 90% of the time. It's just fun. Especially zombies. Zombies is Awesome (unless you get teamed up with complete dumbasses).
If anyone wants to play with me, my Ally code is 5002-3249-3850. I go by the same name. (Does the Wii really need that long an ally code?)
(Oh, the wii also has motion control, but that's no big deal. I still play this game with the classic controller.)

New Map pack on 2/1/11.
4 New Multi-player maps along with 1 zombie map
...Hopefully we don't get screwed into overpaying like with MW2's map packs...

AK74u (Rapid fire + Grip)
Python (Speed reloader)
Semtex Grenades
Flash Grenades
Tactical Insertion/Claymore
Lightweight Pro
Warlord Pro
Marathon Pro
soloed to level 17 in zombies (Kino der Toten)...that's not good.
lol, the name for the upgraded AK74u in zombies is AK74fu2, and i realized that the Ballistic Knife isn't completely useless.

lol, some of my friends got really mad about MW2 map packs because some of them were just old maps, it was fine with me though, since the only CoD games i've ever played was Classic, MW2, and Black Ops. So it was all new to me

I'm just trying to prestige as fast as possible to catch up with my friends (8th or 9th, I can never keep track), i usually don't even play normal matches, i prefer wager matches so it's fair for everyone...and i still normally win without camping so yea, i am a decent player

We are overpaying for the map pack. It is 1200 microsoft points. Also, allow me to point out that these maps are actually already on the disc. 1200 microsoft points to unlock only a couple of maps and one zombie map in which are already on the disc. Meanwhile, Battlefield: Bad Company 2 has a full expansion pack with new weapons, voiceovers, textures, maps, music, vehicles, and presentation value, for the same price.
Activision has completely turned Call of Duty into a money whore; Activision has completely ruined Call of Duty as a whole.
Also, allow me to say that Black Ops is one of the worst online games I've ever played. It is completely unbalanced. The online servers, still using the old P2P matchmaking system, are worse than CoD4, W@W, and MW2. The hit detection is broken. Due to the complete imbalances in this terrible game, the community makes it worse. There are a baffling number of people who merely just whore out the easiest and most unbalanced things, game to game. On top of this, there are also many people merely camping in corners, just sitting there, waiting for someone to come by. The game has the slowest pace out of any Call of Duty. It is just as boring as it is frustrating (and dear lord, is it frustrating). Also, the spawning system is atrocious. The maps are also atrocious.
For anyone that might want to get this game, don't waste your time. It's a disgrace to video games.

I love this post. I was trying to quickscope with my brother's friend using an L96A1 ACOG. I aimed at a guy's head and shot at least 5 times and none of them hit, and it's all because of the godawful hit detection. Even worse, the guy was like 10 feet away from me.
For the map pack, the only thing that excites me is Berlin Wall, specifically because it's a sniper map. Other than that, the only other thing worth paying for is Ascension, the Zombies map.

The trailer for the map pack looks cool at first, then you realize its complete garbage when you join a lobby and its still nothing but ak-74u spam.

Rofl, it's for these reasons that i hardly ever play multiplayer anymore, what i hate the most is the Respawning; I die from this person...then i respawn infront of him? or next to his team-mate that is staring at me? that's complete bullshit, which is why i'm only going to be talking about zombies from now on.\
and it takes me for ever to actually join a zombie match, which is also starting to piss me off

I found the multi-player enjoyable. I played with my bro some and we had some laughs on how completely horrible we were at split-screen xD
Well, I did play SOME Zombies today, with Brad172. And we did quite "bad". And something else we notice is that when ever we tried to search for a multi-player game, I got an error message saying that the lobby didn't exist anymore, even though Brad was in the lobby. Is this a common problem or is my Xbox screwing with me?

Hmm, I'm not sure, i get lucky just getting into a lobby, but the lobby would end randomly at times which really pisses me of.
I got to round 26 on my own yesterday, using the Upgraded M1911 (forgot the name atm), and the Upgraded HK21, which is H115 Resonator(?), eventually getting the Thundergun and upgrading to the Zeus Cannon, so much fun using that, lol
Probably going to add another section to the guide, Involving weapons

lol, i got to wave 39 on Der Riese (waw map, you should REALLY buy this one)
with an upgraded RPK and Ray Gun.
I died when my ray gun needed 3 shots, i went to the mystery box, got a wunderwaffe, and the crawler was IN the packapunch machine :V:V:V

I really want to sell my normal version and get the harden edition of Black Op's solely to get the old WAW maps...
oh, and btw...what does that look like at 5:02? I think i know...

Hardened Edition was only $20 more expensive and came with other stuff than just the 4 original zombie maps. Though, the zombie maps are really the only reason I wanna exchange my version of BO for the Hardened Edition.
Also, does anyone wanna play Combat Training some time? I'm on both Xbox and PS3, and on both consoles, my username is FUGGNUTZ. You should probably query me on IRC before you add me, just so I know who you are and won't reject.
