So, this is a hack I have been working on for the past few months. I have nearly finished World 1 but the levels still need to be polished and the Y.Switch needs to be completed so... here are the pics of the levels I'm done so far with:

The intro screen. Ah, the beatiful view, the clean air, and looks like Peach is... WHAT!!! Again?!

This is the first submap with all events done. Posted it some time ago in S&V Thread.

The start of the first level: Mushroom Path, a path with mushrooms on it.

Hmmmmm, how do I get down there? (Not gonna show it though)

Oh darn, I need a blue !-switch here.

Oh yay, there it is.

End of the level. Also, those mushrooms have nothing special on the top. No, realy.

The second level, Sundown Stroll. Introduction to Roundinos and...

... Claptraps (top-left of the picture)

This level has Yoshi in it. Also, the new Midway point.

The Ninji replacement. I call them... Jinji (couldn't think of a better name)

The goal point.
P.S. If you think the pallete is too eye-searing, tell me and I will fix it.

The third level, Shiny Rock Grotto. Nothing special, just a cave level.

Hmmm, interreasting. Also, the Buzzy replacement. The RockBack.

Football replacement, the Smiley.

The "secret" area containing a KaryShell Troopa and a Star Coin.
Ok, so thats it I have to show for now. Also, this level will have a cameo appearence of another character I came up with. Some of you may remember him, some of you may not. The thord level is still not complete so... When the Y.Switch, Sputtum's Mossy Fort and the Gloomy Manor are done, I will post the screens. Stay tuned.

The first thing I gotta say is that intro screen is worded hilariously. The hand drawn GFX thing made me laugh so hard.
This hack looks exceptionally good so far. Can't wait to see how it pans out.

So, after a few days of not posting anything, here are some updates, showing the Ghost House and the first castle.
So, lets start with the Ghost House: Gloomy Manor.

So, right at the start, we are welcomed by a pair of Phantorbs. Yeah, some welcome that is.

GASP! A Biggie BooOrb

Oh fudge! Looks like I should had kept that Carry Block to get the blue ! Switch. Luckily, there is a reset door. I'm not gonna show where the invisible door appears because that would spoil it, wouldnt'it.

The next room. Also, the first introduction to all members of the Boo Clan.

Freedom!
Now, for the castle level.

Oh, fancy native outfit guys. Also, who the F* is Sputtum?

C'mon, who puts spears in ancient temples I mean realy?

OK, so I need a ! switch to progress. Quick tip: The wall is set to act like a pipe.

The next room, we are welcomed by another pair of natives and 2 Dhwomps.

This is the secret castle room, which is somewhat a shortcut containing a 1UP.

So, the last room contains 2 HotSpins, and a ChickenLegs ( a Dry Bones replacement that throws Chincken Drumsticks)

GASP! It's Sputtum (I dont know how to remove the Reznor sign from the wheel so ignore it)

So, after the battle we are taken to the Main Overworld where we find there is not much left to do, except to wait for the Volcano to errupt and create a new landmass.
OK, so thats it for now so, next update will show the rest of level 3 and the Y. Switch.

Well, a double post eh? Anyhow, here is how the Yellow Switch will look like.

So, is it good? Is it hard to tell apart the FG from the BG? Are the palletes good? Any comments are welcome.

Man, your graphical style in mix with your pallets looks so good! The level screens look very cool; all unique from eachother. The new screen of the YS does confuse me a bit. Indeed, it's hard to tell what's fg and bg. Maybe making the pallete of the fg just a tad darker will make things more clear. Keep up the good work!

Is this better?
Also, like I said a few posts back, the cave level will have a cameo appearence of my character from a cancelled hack. Some of you may remember it.

It's... Sklenk the skeleton from the Third Continent a.k.a. the Land of the Dead. He will appear in some levels.

Ah, that's already alot better. But still, some little things confuse me. I think the major problem now is that the fg and bg look to much like eachother. Especially the ghost house stones kinda confuse me.
Anyway, cool idea of the skeleton. Will he be like a guide that gives you tips and stuff? That would be an amazing idea.

You know what's funny? I just noticed that the switch palaca blocks and the ghost house blocks are the same. Ill change them sooner or later. Oh, and the skeleton idea about him giving tips, well, I'm not much of a tip writer but Ill try. Thanks for the idea.
P.S. Since in that screenshot Sklenk makes his first cameo, he won't give you a tip (unless I think of one). The next time (or times), yeah, tips are guaranteed.
EDIT: Since I can't double post, here is the edited version of the Switch Palace tileset. Personaly, I think it's much better now.

What do YOU think? Comment and suggestions welcome.

OK people listen up! I'm gonna need around 5 Beta testers to test the world 1 demo. So line up, decide, and you are gonna be the first ones to play this other than myself. Just a quick note: Don't forget to comment on my hack pics.

Well I played through the beta and I found nothing that was glitched or bad. Levels were fun and the GFX was awesome. Nice work. Suggestion is maybe to change the SMW music?
