Tip: Avoid blind jumps. If the player has to jump down a random hole to proceed with no indication at all that they can go down there, you've done something wrong!
Man.. I've seen like 10 posts in the last few days about inserting patches.
You need to use xkas (an assembler) to insert them into your ROM. A guide for that can be found at the bottom of this post. If you don't understand, then you can use xkas GUI, it's a GUI app with big buttons for loading files and patching. Download can be found here.
Don't forget to add freespace to the patches, otherwise bad things can happen.
