I had a thought, what if we had different graphics for the Goombas for each world? Something like, regular goomba in the first world, but in say the fun fair world, we could have clown goombas, or underwater we could have snorkel goombas.
Just a thought.

Just like the bakis from drawn to life, in the snow world they had scarves, and in the beach world they had pales on their heads.

Yeah, that was what was going though my head.

If somebody inserted vanilla ExGFX files into the hack for their own use, would they be removed and substituted with the new, to-be-redrawn ones? I'd love to use the vanilla graphics only, if that was an option.

You'll have to use the redrawn once to guarantee consistency.

I don't see why, he could treat the vanilla graphics as ExGFX. And if he's going to combine sets I wouldn't think it would be a big deal.

Because it would look too different from the rest of the graphics in the hack

Even if it's inconsistent, many gimmicks in SMWCP lost their appeal because the graphics were changed (i.e. Big Baddie Cave).

Well I liked your graphics Dusk, even though they seem to have been glossed over. The first you showed were pretty awesome, no improvements I could see, liking the cross patterns. The temple one ... ehhh ... not so fond, looks a bit all too similar, hard to see what's solid and what's not. Keep it up though!

You know, I've been playing around with Pikerchu's set some more and I've got some new thoughts on it. While I very much like the grass tops on it, the dirt pattern is rather repetitive. I wonder if it'd be possible to have a larger and/or simpler pattern more along the lines of what the original SMW did? It might fit better that way.

You mean something like in all Mario games where the dirt has some curvy pattern running through it?

I really like Dusks grass land but i think that the Xs on the dirt tiles could be lighter. As for the Temple one i can't tell the whether vertical columns are passable or solid.
This is the Factory bg i finished.

Those gears look really cool, but the bricks and windows clash greatly. I'd either shade them more or get rid of them entirely.

Get rid of the windows?!? but those were the hardest to make! I'll just re-shade them.

I really, really, really say that you should remove the windows, they don't fit the factory at all.
