No, make it like green or grey or something like that. Red is just not natural. (I'm assuming this is either a cave or grassland tileset)

The red would make more sense if it were actually IN the rock itself, because then it could act like a lava vein of sorts. If you were to make the top grey, as the above poster said, it might look more like a rocky tileset.

do you mean to make the little spaces between the rocks red and what now is red make grey? is a good idea, but :S i have only one color left in the palette... or i make a grey palete with less colors, and two or three red colors , or i don't know what to do :S
E: maybe something like this, then red between the rocks?

Now it looks like it can be used in a castle.

Actually, yeah. If you make the brown portion a darker grey, that could fit a castle really well.

Just saying that it looks surprisingly good, nice job, I'm sure I wouldn't be able to draw that.

Disregard my previous post about the castle - that looks much better for a lava cave. Nice work.
Now you just need to draw some rocks and other objects, and you'll have a great tileset.
2dareduck: That's starting to look a lot better. The windows still seem to "jump out" though rather than looking like they are in the background .. but other than that, it's all quite fitting now.

You know, I think that with the GFX you drew linkunarre could make a great cave, lava, or castle tileset just depending on the palette. After all, the level designers who choose to use it can make a custom palette.
EDIT: Just had an idea, maybe you could make the lava in the cracks glow with palette exanimation.
Also: @2dareduck, I really like your tileset there's just one thing that kinda bothers me. In the corner of the thing that connects the pipes (I think that's what they are) The blue pixels in the corner look kinda strange.

Would the drawing style from the right pillar fit the hack?

Looks nice, though the first pillar looks flat, the 2nd one looks more like a pillar, thanks to the shadding, though i preffer the texture of the first one.

Definitely @ the second one. It has that realistic-but-not-really style which looks like it would fit an oriental level very well (the castle, perhaps). I'd love to see more.

I've got some graphics for a sprite that could fit magma levels.

first you spinjump over it then it opens and you can pass trough it, but it closes when the time limit for this sprite finishes.
someone can code it, cause i only know coding blocks.

Very good GFX Weeabuu, the palettes looks pretty nice.
I did this to Mario's Demented Journey.
<object width="480" height="390"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/Yn2lvoxSvBY?fs=1&hl=pt_BR"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/Yn2lvoxSvBY?fs=1&hl=pt_BR" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="480" height="390"></embed></object>
But since i don't see a sign of progress, and i don't know if it will ever be finished, i'm giving the tileset.
I can remove my Avatar face graphics if needed.

Well they're definitely nice graphics, but they're really not close to our established style at all. You'd need to rework the whole set to be closer to the chosen style, which you can definitely choose to do, but for now, I don't think we can accept them as they are.
Of course, I'm just one opinion, let's see what others have to say.
