One thing I've been worrying about in SMWCP2 is to do with the soundtrack. Commonly in ports I see issues where the music is so loud that the SFX are drowned out. I propose we aim to have all the songs at an amplitude similar to the original SMW.

Interesting thought, and it's a good one too. There have been several hacks where the music volume fluctuates from level to level, and having to constantly play with the volume dial makes things relatively annoying.
It's something we can worry about during the beta testing phase. I'll make a note to the testers to point out any really heavy or really soft tracks that pop up.

I was really worried...item babysitting became so infamous because of overuse...

I did notice that some soundtracks feels like "outside" music instead of in-game because of how I barely here sound effects.

@Camerin sometimes. I know for sure Pikerchu, Tatanga, and Giant Shy Guy are using combo, medium, and slow autoscrolling.

But all of them is used very appropriately (I don't know about mine, I'm the one making it so I can't really talk on that...)
2dare's uses Vertical and Slow

Hey, I know it's early to ask, but how will levels be switched around?
I've read about the sudden difficulty spikes within a world, well with at least with the current blocking.
I don't neeed an "official" answer, just some "probablies" and "mostlikelies"

- Overall difficulty compared to other levels in the world.
- Mood/Atmosphere
- Whether it's decided that some breather levels are put in between various levels.

I ultimately want to let the community (or at least, the people working on this hack) decide in a separate thread. I was thinking of just rearranging them myself, but certain things can be rather subjective (especially in the case of world 9).
Once the last level is inserted, I'll be making that thread.
