Problem:
I download a GFX set, insert them, insert the graphics, and when I insert the palette, it doesn't work at all. The colors look fine in the palette editor, but the graphics use the wrong colors. This happens with both LM 1.82 and 1.90.

Did you test that with older versions? And maybe, the Map16 tiles have the wrong palette.
Somehow I just reopened LM and the palettes work fine, I don't know what was causing the problem. Either way, it's solved (for now, at least).
I've looked everywhere for these stray pixels, but I can't seem to find them anywhere. >_<

Problem

Does anyone know where they are?

Those anyone know where they are?

Does are in GFX00, where the graphics of the mush, flower, -Nintendo Presents-, etc. are.

Thanks a bunch
Which hex edit I need to do to have the windowing of yoshi's house in all levels?
I don't see anything like that in the ROM map, what exactly do you mean?
I was talking about this fade

I'm hazarding a guess that you are talking about the 'MARIO START' screen. If so, try this:

Is not the "Mario Start", but the Fade-in what happens after entering on the level.

Anyways, Masterlink, is better to PM Dakress, so he will tell how he did that.
hey does anyone know how to put an Xkas patch onto a rom, I tried it once and my rom died (I had a backup) so I was thinking that if anyone knows how to apply an Xkas patch then I could send you the rom you could patch it and send it back. PS it's the SMB3 koopa patch that I want.
@BadWolf: Did you set the freespace?
Just a couple simple questions on overworld stuff:
1. what's with the little pathing on the left side of vanilla dome?
I'm guessing its supposed to attach to the special world turn so you don't get stuck, just wanted to make sure tho. (but why does it have water pathing?)

2. How to I control what directions are enabled for a pipe? (which directions you can and CAN'T move) I have a problem where I can move a direction I don't want to.

3. Tough one: I'm looking for roof of a castle tile with pathing behind it AND solid ground in the shadow of it. This tile I have shows the blue background and I can't get it to look right. I'll try and get a screenshot if its hard to understand.

Thanks

edit: btw what upload site do you guys use mostly?

edit2: all questions answered thanks

1. It's a part of the path for Special World where Mario goes offscreen. Why it has a water path? No idea. Maybe because it was the only which was fitting with the "corners".

2. You mean something like this: Mario can go up but he can't go left? Just don't put any paths where you don't want to go. Pipes aren't level tiles. ;)

3. Could you post a screenshot? I don't understand your problem.

Also, for uploading hacks and other things here, they often use their File Bin that you can check by going to the "My files" in your profile.
Im thinking it had water pathing for effect, mainly as it makes sense as he has to walk to the next path.
Darn, my palettes are screwing up again. It happens on all versions of LM, with all graphics I try to use. Help?

When do they mess up? Are you trying to import palettes or inserting ExGFX and then they're messing up? I know, these may be dumb questions but I didn't check your post of the "first issue" (or did I?).

What I do:
-Put the ExGFX file(s) in the ExGraphics folder
-Insert them into the ROM by clicking File>Graphics>Insert ExGFX to ROM
-Go to the Map16 editor
-Click Import Map16 Tiles From File
-Choose the Map16Page
-Save Map16 data
-Go to Palette Editor
-Import palette from file
...and then the palettes don't work properly. Everything has the wrong colors.
That's very strange, that has never happened to me before... Maybe, you imported the palette as a shared palette, I think I accidentally did that before and all the palettes screwed up.
It happens on every ROM I use.
