I am legitimately pleased that Diamond Tiara got what was coming to her in the end. She's just evil.
Also, "get something else on my desk by the end of the day, and it better be juicy!" is my new favorite line in the series for awful, awful reasons. |

I've been quite busy to watching the rest of Season 2.
But Theres been some Information leaked that they're close to start the production of a Movie about the series!
There's proof of a Trailer uploaded on Youtube couple days ago

I don't even know what to say
Ponyville Confidential is one of the best episodes yet, if not the best episode. There's just so much done right in it.
One thing is for sure, this now officially marks M.A. Larson as my favorite writer on the show.
(I really need to watch the episodes sooner, so I can join the discussions while they're still relevant <.<)

Okay, watched it again, and I do think I have a legitimate complaint. Most here won't think it's a problem though (or if they do, it won't affect them).
While it was hilarious, most the jokes were in-jokes. Only a rather hardcore fan would get everything. Anyone who watches casually and doesn't follow the fandom probably has forgotten completely about Trixie, for example. The joke with Big Mac's speech would fly over the head of anyone who hadn't caught that he'd said almost nothing but "eeyup" since Applebuck Season.
But while the comedy has a narrow appeal, they did make a solid episode despite that. Big Mac's speech works excellently for drama even if you don't get the joke with it. You don't have to remember who Trixie is to understand that the column was being invasive. And if you actually read any of my previous pretentious rants, you'll recall that I define depth as having things below the surface; finding things second or third watch, that you didn't see before. Underneath the comedy was a good episode, and I didn't completely see that until a second watch. I take back my previous nitpick that it wasn't emotionally charged; it's no Hurricane Fluttershy, but still pretty good on that front. Thus, Kaijyuu stamp of approval. I'm impressed.
PS: I have a new love for Diamond Tiara. That's how you write a jerk.
Wonder where Silver Spoon went though... they have a falling out?

G1 wasn't that bad. It's the later stuff that was terrible.
Rescue at Midnight Castle's worth watching, even, though not mindblowing or anything.

Darn you Quizler, I still remember the conversation we had when I first read this thread and saw that posted here. Watching the pilot, then the next episode, then ticket master, then finally sold with Applebuck Season. Ponies, I'll never think of the real thing ever again.
As once joked before, Lauren Faust truly made us tap dance to her beat and now Jayson is continuing it to make sure our brains turn to love and marshmallows. What I'm trying to say is this was and is still fun, why one may ask? Because friendship is magic and I'm a wizard in training.

I'm planning a personal mareathon sometime late June to celebrate my conversion. Still have all the old forum posts and conversations from way back then.

My "official" anniversary for becoming a brony is in about five days (April 10th of last year). I remember getting home from a final and basically marathoning half of the season.

I used to be the embodiment of a brony nerdgasm. Such that I made my e-friends who weren't bronies rage. But sometime after Lunar Eclipsed, I just sorta collapsed into a casual watcher.
Now, seeing the discussion of "anniversaries", and having the memories of last summer flood back to me, I can feel the nerdwank beginning to build up to a climax again.

Hello, this is Blittle McNilsen's fifth cousin ninety times removed's brother. I discovered Blittle laying in his computer chair today, dead with his head exploded all over the walls. Open was this website, with this forum thread, displaying that big meltdown post. I am not sure exactly what happened, but I am very sad about his death and will be holding a funeral for him at 900 Lulz Avenue, Washington. If you knew him and can attend, please do. It means so much to me and the rest of his family and friends. Thank you.
On a side note, the new episode is tomorrow and he won't be alive to see it. :(

On a pony related note, am I the only one who finds it a little annoying that 3-4 clips keep being dropped per episode? All things considered, if they are all about 45 - 60 seconds each, that's already about 15-20% of an episode shown in preview clips alone. I dunno .. I've just been noticing more and more per episode lately.
Maybe I'm the only one who is bothered by this.
