I put together this little project in C#, took me a day to do from start to finish.
It's an aid for master looters in World of Warcraft raids. It isn't much, but it does work.
More specifically, this application allows up to ten raid members to be inserted into the program along with their individual classes.
Depending on what their class is, they can use different types of loot, for instance Mages can use cloth while warriors use plate.
The program takes this into account and only rolls numbers for folks that can use the gear.
Anyway, the program with then let you roll random numbers from 1-100 at once... this aids in loot distribution, assuming the person using this program is a fair and trustworthy raid leader.
The reason why something like this is handy, is because the end of a raid can be a bit hectic...
...with the heightened emotions and sweaty skin of the 10 nerds who just wasted 8 hours of their life delving into the heart of a dungeon... well they just can't focus for more than 30 seconds at a time to roll for the loot that the "Master Looter" picked up.
This allows the raid leader to automatically roll for them (eventually I'll make it so that the numbers are reported to the party's chat system).
It also helps prevent loot ninjas (People who roll on items they can't use, just so they can sell them and make some quick cash.)
I'm still in introductory programming classes however I'm really enjoying this programming stuff... Thought I might share what I've done so far here. (Since I suck at SMW hacking and am generally unfunny...)
