Finally deciding to show off some progress in my own thread this time. I really outa start posting here more. Anyway, I'm close to releasing the second (and final) demo of this hack so that people will have more to look up on with this game and know what to expect in the final version.

Yupiii, I am eagerly awaiting your next demo and the final version. Google Translator D:
Ah, I always been a fan of your work.

Anyways I'm really liking how that level is looking. The Graphics are pretty great.

So does Navi, like follow the player around?
No, unfortunately. If I knew the ASM I would do that. Otherwise, I'm going to have to get somebody to do something like that for me. (Burden much)

Otherwise, for right now, Navi serves as a navigator. She'll talk to Scorpion some, but her main role is point out areas of interest. It's up to you (the player) to figure out the puzzle however.
Another update. I'm on the lava level now, so now we get into some good stuff here.

Welcome to the Corrupt Factory people. Sure, SMWCPII is doing a factory themed world, but nobody said I couldn't do a factory themed level. Here is the interesting way I developed motivation to do this level:
• I wanted to use "Musica Machina" by SNN ever since I heard it.
• When SMWCPII officially got started, I wanted a factory level
• I've made factory graphics that got rejected when they were calling for GFX designers in SMWCPII preliminary. I didn't want to waste my work.

So, in short, this awesome level called the Corrupt Factory was spawned.
Here's a video in the picture:

HEY! LISTEN!

Anyways, that level does look cool, but I find some parts of that song you're using to be kinda annoying.
Factory levels need more love. Im wanting to make one for later on in my hack.

From waht Ive seen in the screenshots thread and this thread is that the GFX are stunning, which Ive said numurous times before.

Seriously man, your work is sick, in a good way of course!
I'd have a post saying "whoa that looks fancy", but I've used that word so much for you guys' work now that it's pretty much become redundant. Someone needs to invent a new word for fancy...

But in all seriousness, SCORP, it looks like everything you make (both visually and design-wise) greatly excels the prior product, and I'm eager to see how things turn out.

I just downloaded the demo, finally, despite you almost releasing another one, as it really has been too long since I've really delved into some of your stuff and it'll be nice to have a look and actually be able to comment on things properly having played them, so I'll go and do that later. Plus... it's also... another... distraction... from my writing... Hooray!
This is a very excellent level. The visuals, the atmosphere, and the level design are outstanding, and really give off the sinister factory vibe! I can't wait to play it!
Speaking of which, I've almost finished beta testing the next demo. I've had a lot of stuff lately which slowed progress, but I should be able to get it done soon!
One more thing. I noticed that the Bowser bowling balls went behind most tiles, including behind the walls where the doors were, which looks rather odd. They're also behind layer 2. The latter is because of the custom layer 3 (both layer 3 and HDMA can cause this if layer 3 is forced behind layer 2). To fix this, you can use Ice Man's HDMA fix patch on the bowling balls, and set the pipe tiles they come out of to be layer priority enabled.
Either way, this hack keeps getting better and better, so keep up the excellent work!

Hunter and Scorpion's Bet 2: Twilight Gem
Treble Tower Access
Click on picture or url to play video.

About time I posted something here. A few might remember this from the screenshots thread, but since it was there, I barely had room to make a real announcement update.

Demo, that is what I must talk about. Metalgearhunter and I both are working on two different version of the Hunter and Scorpion's Bet 2: Twilight Gem hacks, each with different graphics and levels. Some graphics are shared as situation calls for. After a level called Treble Tower is complete, which you'll learn more about in game, we'll release a new demo of said hacks. Do note that both hacks will not be released at the same time. Either way, the video above is what you can expect to see in the game. Ofcourse, do know that is one of the more harder levels.

Wow, The Twilight Gem looks great so far. I will definitely be looking forward to the final version of this game and Hunter's Quest, whenever they may be released.

There is a reason that I have always been a huge fan of your works. They have always been completely original, both in style and the plot. These games are now at the top of my waiting list.
Hey buddy, the mid point entrance is glitched for SCORPION's Temple. You just kinda die. Sucks especially with getting what I'm guessing is a health thing or something, gotta swim in the lava right?
Eyeahhhh... no. There should be spring board somewhere in that pit that'll help you get past the spikes. Twilight Gem is full of puzzles, and it might take a little bit figure them all out; but that one is one of the more easier ones.

Should you be willing to sacrifice a lot of health for a "feather", then you can swim in the lava for it; and you get back two hits + the "feather" power-up.
Puzzles? I like puzzles.

Except for the ones you place on the floor and piece together one by one. Too time consuming.
okay wow this is hack is really

bad

You want proof? Here's one screenshot which ultimately, despite other flaws which I mention now, got me to not playing this hack:

What the fuck is wrong with the 2 Player Sprite from Scorpion, the color changing blocks and the cut off under the whole level??

But one screenshot doesn't mean a hack is bad, no it was the story that makes it weird. I mean seriously: Why does Scorpion have to explain every attidute he has, like "time travel" etc. not only to fill the maybe most uninteresting plot holes I've ever saw (really, because not every atom wasn't eliminated? And awesome how he says "Twilight Princess Zelda" instead of "Hyrule in 1589" or something like that.), it makes the reader feel dumb. Additionally, what's with the fucked up sprites if you choose "No". In the beginning? Really you should fix that...

So to sum it up, I don't want to play it because it has a weird story, some graphical failures, as it seems, no Player 2 support (if I'm not completly mistaken) and other bugs. To bad, because I thought it looked promising, not lackluster of failing checking if graphics are missing. I bet you also didn't fixed the dialogue "Mario->Luigi" incase one of the Scorpi's gets a game over, but I don't want to play it anymore.

In case you're offended, you shouldn't. It's my opinion, and it seems you have enough fans, so nevermind. You should however fix the bugs.
Aye, will do this. But for now, this thread is closed. Will work on things, and fix up; have a good day now.

The hack will be removed and touched up on. Sorry for the misconception.
