OK, so in a bonus room of my hack, I have a bonus Flower and 2 bonus red coins. There are 3 ? Clouds in this room, one of which is a POW cloud. For some reason, whenever I throw an egg at the POW cloud and it defeats the Chain Chomp (the room's only enemy) only 1 of the red coins appears. I've tried moving the ? clouds as they were above the bonus items, and it didn't make a difference. What could be wrong? Note that since I lost the original ROM of this hack, I had to download the IPS patch I made and patch it to a clean ROM.

More than likely item memory, try not to place two red coins, ? clouds above each other as the they wont appear.
EDIT: post a screenshot So it will be more clear.

Okay, this may sound crazy but remove the background wall.
The coins should show up then.

It hasn't worked, still only one of the bonus items appears.

Im sorry but I'm not too sure what the problem is, could your ROM be corrupted?

Check whether the item memory value of this room equals to another one in the same level. Other than that, you might want to move the entire bonus room around a few screens and look whether it works then.

Now that I've checked further, there's another bonus area in the same room, above the room that's not working 1 screen to the right. Could this be causing the problem?

I've looked at the Item Memory Value in the header, and it's 0 for the main 2 rooms and 3 for the last smaller room. Should I try changing it for the room I'm having this problem in?

Ehm, yes, that would be a procedure.
Always try not to use an item memory value more than once in a level.

Changed the Item Memory value to 1 and it works fine now. Thanks for the help, guys!
