I sarted to make this game a few months ago. With all my naivety I planned to do a large game with a lot of custom bosses and a lot of levels. I was doing well until I tryed to learn how to do these advanced things. It's hard to find this information, so I gave up. I made just one level.

But some days ago I realised that it wouldn't worth all that hard work to learn how to use lunar magic if I don't finish up the game. So I decided to finish the game even if it has only one level.

And that's my hack, REDICULOUSLY SMALL, just one level, but It's pretty clean I guess, you're not gonna find bugs (I hope), and you're not gonna die form something treacherous or something that was not supposed to happen.

That's it.

I also plan to post a gameplay video of this game on youtube, then I will add it here.

Bye =D
Screenshot 1: Unedited title screen + Cutoff letters(black part) + Bad BG palette = Bad title screen.
Screenshot 2: The pallete is good, but could be better. Try switching the darker and brighter colors in the green pallete.
Screenshot 3: Add some more sprites(if you don't killed some of them).
Screenshot 4: Bad cave pallete. Also, I don't recommend using much grey cement blocks.
Screenshot 5: Same than 3.
Screenshot 6: Same than 3 and 5. Also, the pallete could be better.

Otherwise, it looks good(offtopic: I'm from Brasil too #w{=)})!
Hi!

Screen1:
The title screen is unedited. Also, the black background on the letters creates cutoff, and looks ugly. I would recommend making new title screen moves using ZSNES.

Screen2:
Nice, slightly abstract palette. I would change the green path palette, though, as it looks odd.
However, there is some cutoff here also. Look what you did in the middle-bottom of the overworld for the diagonal tiles. Do that elsewhere.

Screen3:
Looks flat, and the FG palette could be improved here.

Screen4:
Unedited BG palette, plus ugly FG palette = not good. I suggest changing that.

Screen 5:
I would add some enemies and a lot more decoration here, as it looks bland. Also, I would change the FG palette here also.

Screen 6:
The FG palette here is pretty cool. However, the BG palette is not. I think you have the colours the wrong way round there.

Overall it's pretty good for a first hack, but there are a few palette problems here and there. I would highly recommend checking out "Super Mario Hacks 101" in the featured hacks section for a few tips and ideas.
Thanks for the comments.

Screen 1:
I don't know how to customize it. It looks good for me, the cutoff letters are on purpose, I thought it would look nicer than just a black box with letters inside.

Screen 2:
The sea is made of grape juice. The path is green because it shares the same color with the stones. The middle-bottom of the isle looks nice for me, I don't see nothing wrong. You can't expect SMW to give you an excelent notion of perspective and how things are positioned.

Screen 3: I liked my palette. I don't see the need to put a lot of sprites as my level is more foucosed on jumping and rushing to the finish than killing enemies and solving puzzles. So my hack doesn't have mutch enemies.

Screen 4: It's like a poison themed cave. I didn't see need to change BG colors as it looks nice as it is because it contrasts with FG and it's just supposed to be something neutral.

Screen 5: This is more like a secret place, and it's foucused on jumping, no need to add sprites and there is no space to add decorations.

Screen 6: This is the palette I most liked, the colors look harmonious, keeping the color theme of the game, and it, well, it looks nice =D

You can see that I desagree with you in most cases. I liked my whole game and I don't see need to change or I don't have knowledge to change. Also, I would like alot if sombody played my game rather than just see the screens, it small, takes less than 10 munutes =x

But thanks a lot for the feedback, I don't plan to change anything, and I don't plan to continue making SMW hacks as if I wanted to do, I would want to do a very large hack with a lot of custom stuff, specially custom bosses, but I don't know how to do it, I could't find mutch easy content about it on the tutorials and I don't have mutch pacience to keep searching and suffering to learn things.

And sorry for my english.
Well, it's not good anyway. Having an attitude like that would get your hack removed from this site.

You are supposed to use letters that don't have black behind them at all.

A transition from a posion-green over an ugly yellow-ish tone to dark green with yellow spots isn't nice to look at.

Areas completely void of enemies will feel very empty and won't be fun, as pure jumping without and dynamic content (sprites) and only static platforms is barely exciting.
Also "there's no space to add decorations" is a lie, there's plenty of space, but I personally don't even see the need of too much decoration here.

The foreground DOES look nice (=D), but the background palette is really, really extremely iffy, if you look at the other cave screenshot you will see that it's supposed to be a gradient and not a.. mess.

It's cool that you like it, but we don't, and just outright saying "nope I won't change anything" is the dumbest thing you can do here, at least try to make it better.
Here is my crappy paint edit of the submap to show what I mean:

Red= cutoff
blue = bland

Can you see what is wrong now? The green path palette isn't really that good, though.

Because I feel generous today, I will play your game. I'll comment later and make some more suggestions.

Good luck,
JDC.

I tried playing it, but your ZIP folder is corrupt. Re-submit the hack, and try again.

What attitude? Sorry, I didn't wanted to be agressive, I just tryed to say how I see the things I made. I don't despise your comments. Actually I really liked to see what people think of the hack.

Hmm, yes, I see most of the errors you pointed. But I don't know how to fix most too. Doesn't this little glitches appear in the original game too?

Hm, sorry, I the moment I was doing the title i really thought that the black boxes would be nice. I guess I'm kinda freak ._.

But now that you're saying, maybe without the black boxes it would look nicer.

Hm, ok.

Yes, me either. Well you say that there is space. What sort of decorations we're talking about. Honestly I can just think about brushes, and I don't see any brush making sense there. Or fitting in some spots, because it would be cutoff.

Understood. Ok, I'm gonna try to find some exemples of well-made cave BGs. But I really think my BG is the coolest BG ever, I really liked, it's a surprise for me that nobody liked. =(

Well, It's beacuse I abandoned this game and I didn't want to let it there being a waste of time, so I decided to at least finish it the way it is so at least I have a finished game. Also, you all helped me a lot answering my noob questions in this forum, and I abandoned the hack, it would be a slight to simply desappear (well, actually you are probably used to it). So I just wanted do finish, see what you think, and go away.

But as you're finding so mutch problems I think I will try to follow most of your advices and work a little more on the game.
Ok, just passing here to show my new title screen following your suggestions:

LM doesn't have some numbers without that black background, so I had to improvise and make it that way you're seing ._.

And also to say that I'm still working on this little hack, althought I don't have mutch time so I couldn't do mutch.

Also, my hack has been deleted form the site, is there any way to know why?
I'm sure there are numbers with a transparent BG, but I kind of like what you did there. It reminds me of the title Screen in Insert Coin.

Oh, check the hack removal log to see why your hack has been rejected.
