As much as I appreciate your contributions, I cannot allow copyrighted music to be shared through this site. Posting free music here is fine, though.

It worked well before. We'll try and incorporate little intermissions into it and all of that jazz, I suppose. Hopefully we can vary up the DJs too.

Thanks. I was a bit skeptical about the copyrighted music thing too.
We can still upload video game music though, right?

I would point out the irony of all the ports of songs from games in the music section, but I am betting they count as "derivative works" or covers at worst.

I don't think anyone ever got in trouble for that, so yes.
Also, I am holding the DJ responsible for what is actually played on the radio, so if he chooses to play copyrighted music, I will not try to prevent it. I just don't want people to link to illegal files.

From what I know, no it doesn't. As long as it's not copyrighted apparently.

For the record, video game music is copyrighted, so you can only post remixes, SPCs, orchestral versions (etc) of the songs if you want them on the radio.
As Kieran said, however, it's the DJ's responsibility regarding what music they allow and want on the stream.

You're just not allowed to link them on the site anymore. If Slash Man wants to play copyrighted music on the radio that's his choice.
You know what you should do? Come to the IRC channel and have a chat with us on #radio or #smwc! Maybe you'll even be able to speak to the radio host! If my intention wasn't obvious yet then I give up completely!
