Also, here are some new songs I've created for the hack since the last C3. You may or may not have already heard them. Levels pending.

"GIMMICK Rooms"
-A remix of an older track I created which I named "Dirgefall". It'll be used for some trial rooms in this hack.

"Yttric Badlands"
-An "old west" theme .. kind of. Going to be used for a wasteland of sorts.

"Introductory Story"
-The intro theme.

"The Astralarium"
-One of my personal favorites. I made it for a space station.

"K Squared"
-For a really lax ice area.

By the way, I think that level realy needs some more danger, it's too bland, especialy at the begining, try to add some enemies, maybe some chucks dressed as miners would go well.

Ah, very cool. Looks like you found a nice fitting gimmick for a mine level, exploding things are always great. I also find the music very nice and fitting. That Boo thing at the end was pretty hilarious.

Also yay, we got some SPCs, too! My personal favorite would be Yttric Badlands, kinda reminds me on Live a Live, which is a great thing.

Overall, very nice job on everything!

Probably, although it's already kind of hard as it is. It's only because I've played it a bunch of times that it looks easy. I'll have to see what others say though.

So was I. I was working extremely hard in late March/early April to have this fully done by C3, but exams basically overwhelmed me so I ran out of time. Oh well.

This latest level of Gimmick looks really cool. The explosive mine cart puzzles look particularly fun.

I've had a chance to test some of this hack, and I think you guys will enjoy it quite a bit.

Still loving the GIMMICK letter collection thing, certainly reminds me of DKC.
Hiding from that prospector ghost is really cool, I don't think I've seen that before.

The music is great as usual, I think I like the Introductory Story best.

Yeah, they're all drawn by me. I'd still like to make a better background than "oh hey let's take the foreground tiles, fade them out a bit, and then plaster them there", but that will be a task left for another day.
Yeah, it would definatly benefit greatly from a better 'less dark' background, you did a great job on the prospector btw. How long did that alone take?

Actually, the graphics on that sprite were done for me by Supertails (as was the overworld). I drew the FG, BG, bombs, mine carts, and mine tracks. The actual coding of that sprite took about an hour.

In other news, I might as well post this little video too. I showed it in the S and V thread a couple of months back, but I figure it's worth dumping here too.
Ah, very impressive there SNN. I was happy to see your gimmick based hack at the last C3, and I'm glad to see some progress on it from that time. The level itself looks great, I don't have any nitpicks with regards to level design. The explosive gimmick along with the mine cart gimmick were handled well, and executed in a nice manner.

If I had to nitpick about anything it would be the ghost sprite. I just find it odd that the ghost stays facing one way. It might be nice to have some graphic flipping based on Mario's position should the ghost pass Mario on the left side of the screen.

Other than that, great job!

I was expecting the same thing especially after SNN left a custom title that somewhat implied a C3 released. Now I'm disappointed that isn't the case, though it's not a complete loss since a video came from it. (More spin jumping than I would personally do in any videos.)

They're all nice though and I assume that they all will fit their purposes in the level well (since music helps the mood and all), though my bias still has Pyra Mechalot beating them all out. And at this point I should stop rambling on and on...
As expected from S.N.N, those are some good songs, heck, I think I will be hearing them while I am in the C3
What's so impressive about your levels, from the ruins to the starspire to this, is the way you're able to include so many gimmicks into the hack without making it feel stuffed or contrived. Just look at this level, which features falling bombs, mine carts you have to dodge, and even the prospector. It's the way so many ideas come together so well that makes this hack incredibly fun to play. For instance, the bit where you guide the mine cart to the wall is very clever. It isn't ASM for the sake of ASM, but rather to benefit the level as a whole.

It's also worth noting that the aesthetics for your level have gotten significantly better. You may not agree, but your artistic abilities are really showing through: the graphics here work very well for the mood of the level. Adding a bit more to the BG would be great for sure, but as it is, the visuals really help the levels. Of course, the real star of the show is this, along with the other music tracks you linked. Gotta love amazingflyinshittytrack K Squared.

Looking forward to this as much as ever.
