Hey everyone,
2 years ago at the C3 of spring 2009 I showed the first ideas.
At the C3 of fall 2009 I showed the graphical style.
After that came a period of 1.5 year where I gave up on hacking, until a week ago. I finally decided to start working again and here's the result.
Plot:
"Young Blob is the main hero of this game. His friends are kidnapped by the evil Dr. Bloo.
Dr. Bloo is hiding in his castle and it's up to Blob to find his way through the obstacles thrown at him."

Dear Lord am I dreaming.
This is AMAZING. It looks so very nice and that paper BG is <3 but a little empty. I'll be SURE to play this piece of epic. Great job, TDL

Absolutely love the graphical style, and the level design looks pretty nice as well. Consider your hack added to the list of things to play when this C3 is over.

Well I played it and I really liked it.
The boss at the end made we lol so much, classic bad guy matieral!
There was no level which I disliked or found boring. My fave was the water level.
Great work!

This looks to be executed really well! I think some stains and aged patches on the paper would make it look better imo.

Excuse me, but I need to say this: fricking brilliant.
Just by looking at the screenshots, I knew I fell in love. EVERYTHING, the enemy placement, level design, and ESPECIALLY the graphical style of the BG, enemies, overworld, and platforms are amazing. Plus, Blob is cute. Mostly all personal preferences, but they're enough to make me think this is awesome.
I will now proceed to download this and cry because of the awesomeness.

Well, that's another story. Like 'Just Blob' I simply had lost interested in it. The demo is almost finished and only needs some fine-tuning. But knowing myself, I'll procrastinate it till the next C3 or something ;)

He he, thanks. That was exactly what I was aiming for: the typical bad guy with a mustache and a monocle. (Thanks Google, I finally know the name for that "half glasses")

I see what you mean, but if I added more decorations I think that it would be to crowded in comparison with the simplistic look I went for. (However the Castle-bg is a tad too empty, I must admit.)

This hack looks nice, I can't say much about your level design from those screenshots, but I like how the detailed FG and sprites contrast the simple and paper-ish BG. The plot is not verry diferent from the clasic Mario ones (basicaly it's annother "most rescue X person" story), but I have to say the character is kind of original

Do you mean this one?
It looks fine as it is. But you can retain your simplistic look and keep adding decoration. You can do this by adding a darker line under the lines on the line paper. It'll look way better- trust me

Thanks. The story is indeed a very simple one. It was basically slowing down the release, so I just went with the first thing that came in my mind.

Hmm, I suppose I could try it out someday and submit it as an update. However I'm kinda burned out on Just Blob for now, so let's save that for next year. 
In other news: the hack got accepted! As a little celebration here's a vid of the first level.
Do not watch it if you don't want to get spoiled. (It's close to one sixth of the game  )
Though, you may get a better idea about the gameplay than with just the screenshots above.

Loving the graphical style of the hack, the palettes and design is very catchy as well, you did a pretty amazing hack sir, i'll make sure to play it. Good work.

Back on topic. I really like how the enemies are made out of Blobs, they look cute. I love how everything looks like it's drawn on paper and I like the references to the memes on the OW; "the cake is a lie" and Nyan Cat. While the hack is short, it was fun to play and the level design is excellent.
