And then I died really, REALLY far away.

That. I don't have enough money and I don't own a credit card. So, I'm gonna have to wait...
Somebody decided to grief the server and flooded the spawn with sand. Right now I am repairing the damage.

Edit: Took care of it all. Now going to recon to see if there was any other damage.

Edit2: I didn't find any other blatant damage.

At least I have plenty of sand.
Looks like the "Adventure Update" of Terraria is hitting soon.
Suddenly I am starting to gain interest in this game again.
^

That looks really fucking awesome, though their versioning confuses me, I mean what reasonable game dev wouldn't see that as a major new version?
Mabye the "big picture" is ALOT more?
1.1.0
Second digit means major update, third digit means minor update?

Except that apparently, by most peoples' standards, this "minor" update would count as a major update, adding bosses, new features, and other stuff. This new update is just ridiculously huge, and renders all previous version updates extremely small in comparison.

I love the new bosses, though, I can seriously not wait for another great challenge to take on ^^ I do, however, hope that fighting the harder versions of the old bosses will be possible to do alone, but still very hard to actually beat them. I also like the... heck, there's too much to even count. I'm going to just lock myself into my room the night the update is out and play for hours on end.
I just...i just cannot stop watching the 1.1 trailer, especially at 2:45 onwards. I'm just too excited about this. I really need to stop watching it, but i can't.

Even before i saw this trailer, i was already amazed at the count of the added features into the game:

- 39 New Monsters
- 4 New Bosses
- 3 New NPC's
- 222 New Item's
- 21 New accessories
- 4 New Armour Sets
I bought Terraria several hours ago in the Steam sale for £3 (half price). What makes this deal even sweeter is that the UK get the game the cheapest anyway. I played it for an hour and am still getting to grips with it. It runs excellently on my netbook which is a bonus. I might find a friend who's more experienced at it and start a multiplayer server for them to show me the ropes of the game. I figured out a lot by myself though. I guess it's the instincts I gained from Minecraft.
I... I might have to get back into this game. That... That just looks awesome.

I would like to mention that kieran has set up a terraria server, just in case anyone wanting to get back into the game or playing for the first time wants to play with others from the site.

...though the last time i mentioned this shit happened...
I always preferred Terraria over Minecraft due to its compulsion to make you want to explore for more things and from the fact that I just enjoy it more overall - the problem is that unlike Minecraft, Terraria had a much more natural end; once you felt that you had seen enough that was it - there was nothing too creative to keep you going. It was also nice because unlike Mincraft, Terraria actually works in co-op. Instead of playing singleplayer alongside others, Terraria allows people to work together much better and assists in actually making co-operative play fun for those of us who have a hard time working with certain people in games.

This update seems to completely blow the previous game out of the water and expands upon things in so many ways it makes me excited just thinking about it. That and the fact that I've seen the trailer about five times now. Cannot wait for December 1st, time for another distraction~
This update better include space where you need to wear a fish bowl to breathe. Using the gravity buff and walking on the sky makes no sense.

Sure it does. This game is, after all, The Truman Show in video game format. As such, you cannot leave the world.

Unless, of course, you find the hidden door in the side of the world.
And it's here.
Caffie server: terraria.caffie.net, port 7770
Me and my friend is already playing, with new characters and world too.
Haven't seen much new so far, but there's a bit of changes that makes house-building easier.

Hoping to see the new stuff soon :P
