So, I actually had already an hack I was working on, but when I noticed that I can't insert new music without srewing up the sounds (propably because of that stupid japanese music pack ), I thought it was time for some total improvement.
I created a new rom, and decided to make a new hack, with new ideas, new graphics, and so on.
But I also wanted to keep some of my levels which I created for the old hack.
I'm thinking about inserting the best ones, and the others to some form of SUPER SPECIAL SPECIAL LEVELS or something like that.
Before anyone asks, the thread for my old hack is here.
Currently I don't have any screenshots (I'm not at home right now ), but as soon I arrive I'll post them.
Even if it is a bit sad to leave the old project there (even if I'm still using the levels), it's actually pretty good that I switched to this project, so I could insert better music via addmusicM, and I also noticed that I may have exaggerate with the diffculty of my levels (my world 1 levels had the diffculty of world 4-5 ones), so I can order my levels again.
Currently I'm not quite sure which ones will stay, the only one I'm currently thinking is this one:

But it's graphics also need some improvement. Well, you'll see the the other stuff when I'm back home.
By the way, 100 posts =D . Seriously, that took some time...

So, got some pictures for you. Unfortunately I only have the first level finished, but who cares.

Overworld No. 1 - What do you think about it?

Underground Part

A little puzzle

Reset pipes, if you screw up something

So yeah, that's the most part I have until now, but I'll upload more photos soon.

Nice Submap!
I'm no expert, but I must say, I rather like your use of the vanilla graphics so far. Good job!

The lava gets cutoff on the wall.

you should lower the lava graphics so the cutoff wont be there, also the fact lava skips a tile before it actually works. Very nice hack so far by the way

Please don't use DKC graphics here. This is a major style clash, not only within the level itself (sprites) but also with the cool-looking vanilla you have going on everywhere else.

For the lava grafics, give the lava an 8x8 curve down, then use an 8x8 lava corner tile to the left, then flip that tile to get the four tiles you need.
Overall a great vanilla hack

Thanks, but I just wanted to point out that this isn't supposed to be a vanilla hack, just an hack mixed with vanilla & choco. I'll propably make a vanilla hack another time, but this won't be one

I already changed my mind, I don't think I'll use them.
And about the lava, or I will use the method xlk said, or I'll simply change the graphics of the message block (Or I could insert a custom block, but that's way to much work for such a simple edit).
So, the world 1 theme is pretty obvious, grassland. But, I'm still not sure about world 2. I mean, I have many ideas for worlds, for this hack specially the space, a void, the hell, the sky, a desert, a forest, a snow region etc. but I have no idea which I should choose for world 2, you know? Do you have any suggestions?

Okay, I have some new pictures from my second level. I'm still not sure about the BG, if you have any suggestions, I would appreciate it if you would share them with me.

The underground part of my level. It's just there to get the springboard. But I have no idea which BG I should use. Suggestions?

So yeah, that's all I got until now. Also, the level isn't finished.
What do you guys think?

This is amazing and promising! If I would have to rate it, then it would be:
Level Design 9.5/10: Seems fun, but don't make so many puzzles, believe me; puzzles don't improve the level design always.
Graphics 10/10: Great GFX! I like them. They make the level style cool and unique.
Palettes: 10/10: Wonderful Palettes! I like them very much and they fit the level perfectly!
I would change the cave FG palette a little more fitting to the BG, but it's a cave so it's going to be this way. BG from the forest fits the level excellent! Keep it up this way, this is going to be very good!

Eh... I think the palette in the cave part of level 2 doesn't look so good... But other than that that rest of the level looks awesome =D Great job, keep it up!

The second level looks nice. I doesn't seem the foreground of the forest matches with and BG but maybe that's just me. Palettes are good enough.

That's my favourite type of smw hacks. If you need some beta testers I would do it really. I think you don't have to change the vanilla bg in the cave, it looks alright. Just change the palette a bit.

So, I had some problems with my PC, but in my spare time I drew some Custom Graphics.

What's your opinion?

On the previous screen were 4 throw blocks.

Oh who really cares about clashing? Like it doesn't even look that bad together in general. I know he's not using SMB3 Mario no more but still.
Anyways I'm the level design in this hack really caught my eye. It is really nicely designed as for the palettes... alright... nothing special but eh could be worse. And cool custom graphics there.
And jeez how many times this threads been bumped.

Again, I probably would've gotten rid of those as well.
