So yeah, I am back from my SMW Hacking Pause!
Lately I've been working on a new level.


It's starts out with a normal grassland.





Afterwards you go underground, where you meet the real gimmick off this level: collect 50 coins.

I'm currently working on some level gimmicks for my first world, if you have any suggestions, I would appreciate them.

PS: Currently working on Mario, Coin-, Turn-, Throwblock GFX, so these aren't the final ones.
So, today I actually redid the whole first overworld, and I prefer it way more than the first one.

Well Guys, I drew some Castle GFX for the world 1 Castle, and now I would like to hear your opinion about them.


I'm not sure how fond I am of it, the tiny bricks look a little cluttered, but it's not bad overall.
Those bricks kinda look for me like the SMB1 bricks from SMAS. I don't know why. They look similar to them (at least for me). It's fine but I'm not sure it'll fit with the BF.
I'm surprised this hack doesn't get more attention and comments! It is looking very promising so far. I really like that submap. Keep up the good work :)

Oh, and just that you know it, I didn't use Savestates/Rewinds ;)
This looks difficult for a W1 castle. Some places need reducing the difficulty. This looks more of a W5/W6 castle. Also the last part is really difficult to do. Come on, this is world 1, yep? I know your hack is supossed to be hard but I'd reduce the difficulty. It's not necesarry if it's going to be a short hack (1 or 2 worlds long).
Yeah it does look pretty difficult for World 1; I think the faster thwomps make the level harder. Otherwise that's a nice looking castle you got there. Maybe you can rely on thwomps a little less perhaps? (Just my opinion.)

Also skimmed through the screenshots of this thread; I'm really liking how the hack is looking so far. Nice work. (I swear I commented here before)
So, it's New Year, and I'm updating you guys. So, I've been working on some levels, but in no certain order. But I will update you about those.

So, I finally came up with a story and a title, but I will only spoiler the title.

And I also did work on the castle, if you want a video preview click here. (Oh, and just that you know it, it's not the world 1 castle)
So, I've got some pictures for you about a nearly finished Ice World Fortress.

Looks really nice but I hope the HDMa effect doesn't hurt the eyes in the emulator.

seen this bg with parallax scrolling hundrets of times so what should i say? awesome scrolling, as usually.

What can I say is: I'm actually liking this level so far. The wind effect and the BG are cool, keep it up.
So, after months of hard work, the first Demo is FINALLY out.
