  • I'm pretty sure doing that will disable horizontal movement too
  • You may want to point TopCorner, HeadInside and BodyInside to this code
  • Using $FF does not make sense (it's used by LM, check the RAM map for details), I think you want #$FF
  • Editing $7D like that doesn't make sense at all. If you jump onto this block, you'll bounce out.

Something tells me LDA #$80 TRB $16 TRB $18 would be much more effective and less buggy.
