Since it is nearly the middle of June now and I do remember S.N.N. mentioning a Summer hacking event.
When and what will this consist of?

I'm sure it will be under tight wraps until the day of release. Also, it's not summer for 9 days. 
If I were to speculate however, I would say a level design contest, or a design something contest. What would be really cool would be a contest where you have to do something totally unrelated to SMW hacking. That's the only other thing I could imagine it being.
Oh Crom, now I'm excited about it too!

Well, technically June, July and August are all summer months, so it might as well be a long time before it starts.

It's something else, and it likely won't be happening until early July.

Thanks S.N.N., I hope it Incorporates other games not just Super Mario world because I would really love if YI hacking was involved!

Unlikely, as this is a SMW hacking site and there are only like 5 active YI hackers here.

Aw, that's a pity although it would be nice if the hacking event did contain other games to hack other than Super Mario World.

I don't see how. The majority of users on this site only hack SMW so it'd be kind of redundant if the hacking event became restricted to people who couldn't hack a particular game.

HILARIOUS JOKE HAHAHAdo the site a favor and stop posting.
Going to close this. I'll be starting said contest within a couple of weeks (in fact, it's being discussed right now). I am genuinely hoping that even the non-SMW hackers will try their hand at it.
