This is Coastal Cliff 1! I was going for a muddy look, but eh I am not so sure about the palette, I would like comments about that =3

Flying Cheep Cheeps in the first level? Yup, probably one of the only levels I am going to use them anyway lol, well except for the Cheep Cheep Bay level... but let us not talk about that right now =)

It feels so good to put some more work into this hack! Well, how does it look guys? I have more to show off, I just have to insert a couple more custom GFX and we will have another update =D

The design looks fine but I have some small nitpicks (yeah... :P):

-Why is the dark green colour in the grass brown? It doesn't look best. Even if it's mud, it'd look better if you'd change that to dark green.
-The first screen looks a bit empty. Add couple enemies and some decoration.

Alright well I updated the Palettes! And also some palettes in the next level I am going to show you have been changed, since the mushroom Palettes well... weren't so great heh. Well I just made a new video! Showing off the custom music, Overworld, and the first two levels.

Yeah haha, so if anyone would suggest a better name than Mushroom Tops? Because I cannot really think of a name that would fit >_< Anyway comments and feedback always welcome!

Well, the two levels you did show were great. And is Coastal Plains 1 the first level? If yes, tone the difficulty down a bit, please, as it's way too hard as it is now. You could at least give a star during the cheep-cheep attack... It would help a lot. And the pallete of the Red mushrooms look a bit glitcched. Are you using pallete 4 for it? It looks like, as the note blocks also appear red (but the 'bounce sprite' is grey, what is a bit strange). I would reccomend that you use Palette 1 for it, as it don't look like you're using it now, and change the other palettes (they look like the original SMW's). The OW looks awesome man! No complaints here!
Overall the hack's very good, good job man! I'm waiting for a demo!
Those levels look nice but I have to agree with Mario's Hat. The jumping fish segments looks hard for an early level. A star or some powerups may help a lot.
(Semi Late Reply) Both of those levels are looking pretty good; I'm defiantly liking the Mushroom Tops level.

I do agree that the first level video might be a bit hard for it's place. (Though I did like some of the ideas for it despite that).

This level is called Serene Shores, how does it look? I thought I did a pretty good job with that custom tileset, as I usually have difficulty creating good levels with custom tilesets haha.

Well, this level I have been working on has taken a ton of time! Seriously, like a week haha. Anyway I would like to present you with:

Dark Depths

It is a vertical water level, which I feel I have done a good job. Although that part isn't up to me, deciding how good it is. So, what do you all think?
Wow, this is really cool! The music + the palette make a really dark feeling to the level. I also like how it's a vertical level instead, and it seems lots of people like to base their water levels out of urchins :P

The only thing would be changing the palette of the blue in palette 7, it's really boring to see the same palette, but that's just my opinion.

Is this game the first in a series? The name "First Strike" makes me think it is. If this is the first game in a series you are making, then it sure will be a good one.

I'll be coming back to this thread for a while to see how the game is doing. Right now I'm pretty impressed. Keep up the good work. :)
Well probably after I get this done I am not so sure, since I have been trying to get this done several times. But hey, who knows! Maybe?

Hey guys, it's been a while! Working so much lately, and I would rather use my spare time to hang out with people, so yeah definitely a bit of slowdown... Anyways, I got a video and some pics =)

Also I have been working on a new level, called "That Purple Stuff", which uses TOS's Ogg Cave Graphics (thanks for releasing those =D!)
