Welcome to my new hack thread!
This hack contains/will contain:
• Either NO PLOT or a REALLY small and pointless one.
• A name that makes no sense whatsoever!
• (At least?) 8 levels!
• Awesome special-world styled OWs!
• Mostly vanilla!
• Hard, but non-savestates-intended levels!
Finished so far:
• Three Four levels!
• The title screen (which cuts off when you get the file select text)
• This thread!
Anyway, screenshots of levels that are finished so far:
1) Ninja Volcano
A volcano (obviously) with ninjis (also fairly obviously)!

THE EYES! THE EYES!

A key and dragon coin up there, seems fairly dangerous!

Falling platform above lava

...and the final bit before the goal!
2) Castle Hallway
Name is, again, fairly obvious. This level features thw(i/o)mps, and grinders.

Cannot think of a good caption for this one.

...nor this one

...and not for this one either.
EDIT: Before anyone mentions it, I did indeed, as usual, forget the flame generator.
Since it'll be a short hack, I won't release any demos, I guess.

• Diggin' a Mole Hole

Levels planned:
• Floating-islands themed
• ???
• ???
• ???
• SUPER EPIC FINAL LEVEL OF LARGE JUSTICE
If anyone has any ideas for more levels, throw them at me!

Looks really nice so far, pallettes suit the levels there in well.
As for level ideas why not a "mole hole" level with mega moles and monty moles?

Incompatible tileset, and its going to be vanilla...

Its not actuallly, check the tutorial threads more often, there is a way to mix tilesets in a vanilla way, no exgfx. B)

You can mix tilesets and it will still be considered vanilla

Hmm, mole hole?
I've never really used the mega mole in any of my levels before - sounds like a challenge!
@discussion: My personal definition of 'vanilla' is "No custom sprites, blocks, gameplay-affecting patches, or graphics that were not in the original game." Using an ExGFX file so I can use both mole kinds is allowed.

Im glad you like the idea, also your idea of vanilla is simular to mine, mixing tilesets with ExGFX should be a HELL of alot easier than with sprite exanmaition. 
I look forward to seeing more progress.

Wow, look at all of the cut off at the bottom. 
Anyway, it looks nice the mole hill level. The whole hack looks pretty good for being a vanilla hack, so I will keep an eye out on it.

I finished the mole hole level.

killing moles like the mole killing man can.
on that note, lava interaction sucks. I'm gonna be like F DIZ and use a custom kill block to make stuff in the next level work.

Option 4. It's pretty much the same colour as all of the moles, which gives for an interesting effect.

Ehh... Yeah, you're right. I preferred Option 1 because it goes with the background palette better and I don't really care about colors matching with the enemies...

Gonna either need suggestions or brain activity for level ideas after that one though
