Theme: Abstract/Dream
Music Options: 1, 2, 3, or compose your own.
Briefing: Be as creative as you wish with this one, but try to make your area almost surreal/abstract/dream-like. The possibilities, quite literally, are endless here. Clever ExAnimation, neat graphical swaps, and more can go a long way to make these levels memorable and fun. These levels should be quite challenging as well, but fair.
Note that this does not mean you can dump a Kaizo level here and call it a day.

Ummm... well, I was thinking on making a PRETTY RANDOM (no, not kaizo, I HATE kaizo) level, graphics designed by myself (at least the FG graphics) and if allowed, this gradient:
And also "happy" graphics... but... while checking the Abstract World songs, I didn't find anyone that would fit such a level... 
EDIT: Is Ladida's falling leaves sprite already inserted in the ROM? Falling shine sparkles would be a good addition.

You don't have to use only the abstract/dream songs, you can choose any track. There are some happy ones in them.

Can't wait for what you whip up, I absolutely love your own hack and a level in the bonus world is like made for you to make a level in, looking at your general level style.

Well, well, I'm designing the FG for now (it took me a while to have an idea for the tileset), thie is what I've done so far:
Is it good?
I also had an idea for the level's name: Colorful Carnage.

Those graphics are simply gorgeous! They're very lively and match the style of the hack very well. The ice cream looks great, but Foop is already doing a candy-themed level, also with a double C name. I can't remember how close in proximity the two levels are, but I think world 9 shouldn't become a diabetic's nightmare!
However, it doesn't seem to be nearly as sugar-centric as his stage, so maybe others feel it's different enough?

The ice cream is supposed to be only on the random frozen water areas, but if it looks too repetititve, I'll remove them and replace them with fruits.
I thought of other names: Abstract Athletics, or Madness Meadows.

Even something other than food could work (and might actually be better given foop's level). You seem to like dabbling in the more abstract and weird stuff, so what about really weird shaped plants instead? Spiraled trees, some rainbow bushes, etc.
Just a thought.

Judging by the screenshots, I'd say this is more like a "happy land" rather than a candy land or an abstract level, so I think ice creams and fruits are ok, but if you want to use something else, you might also use some smiling clouds and a happy sun.
As for the name, I'd suggest something like "Happy Hill", it seems more fitting for your level.

Minor update:
RRRAAAAAAAIIIINNNNNBBBBOOOOOWWWWW!!!!!!
I didn't make the swirly/spiraled trees yet (too hard to do them :/), but hey! There are bushes producing rainbows!
So... yeah...
(Am I the only one who thinks that tree looks like a Pokémon?)
EDIT: Woo! Level up!
EDIT2: About the name "Happy Hill", I don't know why, but I think this name sounds too generic.

I don't know if this would help, but you can try checking out this post from Axem where he proposed some unique spiraled vegetation for Senjan's level.

Well, just warning that I've got a PC problem, so, I won't be able to work on this level until such problem is solved D':

...
And for a level name, what about "Smiley Alley" or "Smiley Valley"? It rhymes in my opinion...
