I approve of what I see here. I most certainly like how you use both vanilla and chocolate GFX in your levels, and your palettes make that even better. From the screenshots. it seems that the level design is pretty good.

I'll probably try the demo someday so that I can give better feedback.

The forest level looks quite nice so far, but could have some more sprites and coins, as it looks a little empty at the moment.

And personally I feel vidoes give a better feel to the level, so you can see how everything in the level interacts with..everything else...

and the level looks great nonetheless, you used the forest tileset to your adavantage,and the level's graphics are some of the better I've seen in forests...

But in all seriousness, the video definalty helped show off the level, better than the screen shots, in my opionion.

The level is decorated nicely, good placement of sprites, and good BGM(did i mention that yet?:D)
Based on these screenshots, I'd have to say that my current hack project (not the kaizo one) is getting it's ass kicked.

But... I'm in a level design slump anyway. I haven't been making good levels in a while.

But enough about me....This looks very promising! My only suggestion is to use less SMW graphics. In my own opinion, it is weird to use lots of ExGFX and lots of SMW graphics. Though I do that too...I don't know, perhaps reconsider some of your graphic combinations. IF any seem questionable, I'd change them.

But yeah this seems overall appealing anyway.
First of all, level design was great and it was well decorated, and for Deku Palace, I love this level. Second of all, the forest submap is great and it was well decorated, and for Chrono Trigger Peaceful Days, I love this hack. :D No perspective errors on the OW! Wanna play it now! *places supporter's userbar next to Mario Wants His Mushrooms supporter's userbar*

For castles, I remember the music which was in the B.C. 12000 Ocean Palace from Chrono Trigger. I used it once too. It's great, "mysterious", and excellent for dangerous castles. (Are there any castles that aren't dangerous?) And yeah, as it was said, for caves you should use Mystery Deeps by Midiguy. As for bonus rooms, there was a track ported for SMWCP, it appeared in Blue Switch Palace (Switch of Many Hues), I found it very cool and happy, you could use it for your bonus rooms. =)

Custom - "Mystery Deeps" composed by MidiGuy (Caves)
I've always found Mystery Deeps as a deep dark underwater song, and I'm reserving Ocean Palace for the last castle, but thanks anyway. #w{:>}

Alright. Finished the second level for the forest. It's called "Always Fall", and it's a, well, a fall level. I used again the falling leaves generator in this level.

Also, thanks to Deeke for finding a fitting music for the level. :D

I like this hack's level design and music, Maxodex. I want to put on the miniuser bar The Oncoming Storm (TOS) made.

EDIT: It looks like TOS didn't make it at all...

Yup. I used the one included in Carol's addmusic before it was removed.

Hey, it's a super extra well decorated level! :D Cool athmosphere you got in this stage. It had to took you many hours, it's holy moley really massively decorated! And I thought I am a decoration maniac... =P Anyway, very good job! :) It's strange everyone knows how to insert those falling leaves except me... even though I know pretty well ASM! I'll try sometime in the future. :/
