Edit: oh, I've forgotten the comments... sorry. >.>

@MarioFan22: Cool Volcano level! Will you add some Podoboos and some other fire enemies? Also, that black clouds is :3.

@GN: Perfect work! I can't believe this was done in just 30 minutes. Congrats!

@Uhrix: Whoa. Dat YI-ish FG, dat BG. I have only a word to this: AWESOME.

@lugi-mario2563: Uh... even the BG is empty... why not add some decorations and some enemies?
---
The first level from my hack. The blue pipe leads to a Bonus level with a 3-Up moon (WIP, I will add some sprites and some decorations remove the "empty" feel) and the very right green pipes in the first screenshot (and in the Bonus level too) leads to a Cave level (WIP too).

So, any comments?

Overworld:

W/O Paths

With Paths

Exit Diagram

How does it look?
The overworld itself isn't too bad, but I'm not really fond of the palette.

The perspective is a bit iffy in a few places, but overall it's definitely not bad :)
@Neosz: The hack revolves around the fact that it's nighttime and the game must be beaten before daylight arrives. So, I went with basically the same palette as the FG in the title screen. Also, where are there any perspective errors? I can't find any.
Guess what? A video =D I have half of the level finished, the video goes to the midway point. I used save states only because I wanted to show both pathways without having to make another recording. The first 30 seconds is an overview of the level, so skip that if you want. Also I fixed the Yoshi Coins =) Enjoy!

Making small puzzles is actually kind of tough.

Some snapshots showing my improved forest tileset and a new temple tileset im working on.
camoslash- As great as red on red on red on red looks, it does get a bit boring to look at after a while. I would suggest making the foreground a rock colour like brown or maybe gray. the design however looks good.

FirePhoenix- If memory serves me those green guys launch you up in the air higher than you can jump right? an interesting idea and it could be a lot of fun to have in a puzzle level.

xlk- I absolutely love the forest tree set, the background could use some work but does not look bad. As for the ruins themselves the brick pattern is a bit repetitive, you should try varying the bricks a bit, be it different colours, cracked or broken or just spots missing them entirely.

Huh... no one have commented my level in this post... I'm sad. =C

Jow: The design looks very good though I think the 3UP Moon in the Bonus room is a bit too generous. Also, I'm not a fan of the cement blocks used at the end of the main level.

Kc: Excellent graphics again. They would certainly look good in a Yellow Switch level. Will there be different colours to correspond with the other 3 switches?

@MarioFan22: Ok. I've updated the Main Level* (Changed the Cement Blocks and removed the 1UP) and the Cloud Level* (Removed the moon and added some enemies). Thanks for commenting.

JowTH: Your level looks okay. I's alright for the first level of the hack. On the other hand, the graphics look amazing. These graphics look totally different from the overused "smw redrawn" graphics. Nice work.

True that, but that is looking awesome none-the-less. That green thing to the right is a shell, correct?

It's actually a Spinia.
Speaking of the Spinia, I'm the one who made it! :O
Cool to see it being used, but I want to see exactly how it's being used there, too. Is it a part of the puzzle?
Yes, the idea is that those brown blocks are actually SMB3 Brick blocks with my own graphic for them. Big Mario breaks the block and the Spinia can slide down to the pit so that Mario can use its head as a springboard to get the On/Off switch.

That puzzle is actually the one I like the least in the level despite being the most complex. For the level I wanted to introduce various puzzle elements so I made each Yoshi Coin have its own puzzle based around things like the on/off switch, P switches and blocks, throw blocks, etc.

Oh, well that sounds pretty cool. I hope the level turns out well.

This might be my overworld for world 1 what do you think? Feedback would be appreciated! Oh also I haven't added details yet(obviously)
