Cool level.
Also answer for bacon:
He used original vanilla sprites and made few tiles passable.

Nothing much or good, though just wanted to show off some screens. (Though I think my level design is starting to suck : ( )

Comments/Criticism appreciated

reghrhre: That is FAR from sucking. Those graphics are amazing as is the level design!
notgoodwithusernames: Very creative use of the climbing nets. I like how you use a vine to connect them together.

@notgoodwithusernames: Nice use of the climbing nets.

I think he did make use of some map16 page and some block sprite, like a light switch block.
@reghrhre: The level design looks nice, and the graphics look A+ (a saying for awesome+).

I think maybe he put layer priority enabled walls there and made that act like the climbing fence tiles.

@ reghrhre: The pattern in the dirt from slopes look cutoff. I'd fix this. It otherwise looks very decent, good palettes and nice atmosphere. The level desing looks fun as well so no reason being modest :3

@regrhre: this level looks really fun, and the graphics are fine (except for this wavy-thing, yay). I also saw some minor cutoffs here and there, but which hack don't have any?
Don't worry, your level design is fine

@regrhre: Very nice level design, graphics and status bar, don't worry about cutoffs, it happens.

You cannot necessarily tell quality level design from only two screenshots.

You can imagine how the rest will probably look like from seeing those 2 screenshots though. Apart from the cut-off dirt on the slope tiles, I think the graphics look pretty good.

Indeed, it always makes me wonder how much thought people really put into they're posts...

Oh wow lots of comments.
@exit1337: Wait where at exactly?
@Austin: Wavy-thing? Probably the fog you're talking about?
@MrDeePay: True but I am a good level designer in general. You can check my hack thread and see my pics. : P lolpraisingself and hack advertising :| (or were you just trying to prove a point instead of talking about my pics?)
@xlk: Well I did say "Nothing much or good" so I am practically saying the level design isn't really good. (IMO that is) Though that can differ depending on ones preference.

@PokefreakofBACON Thanks for the tips, I appreciate it. I fixed everything you listed (although I really think I should keep the fireball spin jumping thing). I also made the boss much more interesting and challenging.
Video of the improved boss here

Oh I know you're capable of making decent level, but I was making a point.

I think the 2nd grass in teh dirt in the 2nd screenshot, the slope right next to the ledge in the 1st screenshot (up) and one upsidedown slope.

I was talking about the ground, but don't worry about this

Yes, but I'm just supposing how the level is. And well, I was talking about the guy's design, not the level's design itself.
