Good redrawn of NSMB graphics!!
When you'll release this?

EPIC WIN
@exit1337: Wow that's a pretty damn awesome overworld! Reminds me kind of Avatar (the Cameron's movie)

@Masterlink: pretty generic level, but it looks really nice.

A random level.

Graphics and music made by me.

Nice looking level, and the Sutte Hakkun music is great! Did you use MSU-1 for that?

Heh, actually is fully sampled music, I'm in love with AMM :P (assuming you're talking about the OW music.)

Thanks guys, I really appreciate the comments!

Level 10E, the room right before the final boss
^
Well, ducking under munchers is a little unfair, I suggest removing some munchers. Also, the castle tileset is a little weird, I also suggest using the original castle tileset. Also the lava where the platforms are on are cutoff, or they are meant to be layer 2 object?

They are not actually cutoff. They only look like that in lunar magic. In the game itself, you won't see any cutoff. Fyi how is ducking under munchers unfair? I tested it, and I seemed to have no problem. You don't need too much momentum to duck under munchers. Even a little bit of running speed is enough.
Edit: to be specific, 4 tiles of running space is all you need to duck under munchers.

Edit 2: The original castle tileset? That does not have diagonal lava in it, so it won't work.

@Masterlink - I really like the graphics of that level, plus the layout is pretty awesome. Good job!

@mathelete Your level design is getting better. You should try making videos of them and uploading to YouTube!

I just finished another level called Boo-ville, which takes place in a haunted forest. Tips would be much appreciated!

I will make a video once I finish the whole level.
@twbrooks6: I have to say, I love that level there.

Everything is just beautifully creepy. I also like your background palette choices, as they gave a kind of surreal feel in addition to the scariness. Music choice is awesome as well, too!

There are only two things I can find that bother me:

-The reflecting boo beams have odd palettes. Just make them the same color as the other boos in the level. (The boo beams use palette F iirc)

-While the secret section is neat, I found it disappointing that it was just a shortcut to the midpoint. Maybe change that into a path to a secret exit?

Overall, though, I think you have an awesome, awesome level there. Great work. :>

'Course it is #w{=D} Thanks!

@ Dinomar: Now, that's a big compliment, thanks man! <3
I know it isn't the best tileset ever, but hey, it works.

Hey thanks! I appreciate your complements and tips!

For some reason I didn't think much of the palette of the Boo Streams, but they really were out of whack. I fixed them though, so it is much better now. As for the secret path, I will link it up to a Big Boo boss and make it a secret exit.

Also, @Neutron, good work on the level, it is looking interesting. I personally like the tileset myself :p

The boss room

Note that it does not look like Mario has enough space to jump around, but when you play it, you will realize that there is a lot of space.

Oh hey. Remember when I said I wouldn't have time for this year's level design contest?

I changed my mind. Have a Video

Yeah, I just couldn't resist giving it another shot. Any feedback?

I have seen enough: this level is really well done. Congrats!

Also, cutoff at 3:02.
@ZMann
That looks decorative for someone who says they didn't go all out with decoration and focused more on level design. I like the wooden spikes as well as the BG. Not sure how you made the X blocks.
Also, there is no cutoff at 3:02. In fact, there is no 3:02 because the video is only 3:00 long.
@mathelete I like that. Pretty creative, tho it might be better if you didn't spoil it (talking about the screenshot with the ending credits scene).
