Oh I think I know. It is the "star 2 block"
it only spawns a starman if you already have a starman. Otherwise, it spawns a coin.

invisible 1-up block?
rarely are they used, since invisible coin blocks are more common. Hence the lonely. And invisible 1-up is usually used in a remake of 1-1, so if someone is patient and searches every spot to jump, they get it. Wheras the invisible coin block usually gets people who are too hasty.
