That Square sounds off and very loud in the chord progression at 0:18, sample 1D and sample 18 sound really off at 0:26. Could be the vibrato.

Sonic 2 - Sky Chase Zone
I felt like porting some Sonic and decided on this one. I still need to do some work on it, which mostly consists of lowering the insert size.

Yep, I used really strong++ vibrato values, but the samples sound actually tuned correctly to me:
SPC (featuring 1= no vibrato; 2= $DE $18 $0E $55; 3= $DE $18 $10 $6C)
Anyway I tweaked some vibrato values, and deleted the harmony at 0:26 (I agree, that was way too off).
Clicky
Also MM7 square is so loud

Sky Chase Zone
I've done quite a bit of work on this since I last showed it.
* Tweaked the ADSR on @6
* Lowered the volume of the high @2
* Added the lower half of the chord section, which was missing from the midi I used
* Added a Hi-Hat channel
* Decreased the overall volume of #0-5 and #7 so that the kicks in the main drum section aren't drowned out
* Lowered the octave on the last few melody lines
* Fixed the kick/timpani channel a bit so it's more accurate

Not sure what to make out of this remix, though I will say that I love the melody and its instrument choices and pseudo echo. I personally feel that the piano around the beginning sounds a bit dry compared to the rest of the song. To be blunt though, the port sounds solid but I'm not really a fan of the remix. Sorry!

I'm actually kind of curious why you'd take two channels playing the same instrument and make them play the melody in unison. Was it too quiet as a single channel or something?
Anyways, the port itself sounds really nice, and I think that's the closest you'll get with SMW samples.

Also, the ADSR on the @1 I feel could be changed a bit. I don't remember what it's called, but change whatever command it is that allows the note to last a little longer.
Otherwise, pretty nice so far!

You mean the q command? I also agree on this, by the way. Otherwise, it sounds very nice, Gamma!

The q command actually makes the note shorter, not longer. Botcrazy is most likely referring to the Release (R) of ADSR. The lower the release value is, the longer it takes for the note to fade out completely. If it's at 0, the note will hold out forever until you tell it to stop.
.. by the way, that bassline really reminds me of "Sky/Blimps Level 2 (47)" from SMWCP2.

Botcrazy, there are actually rests between a lot of the notes that create the staccato. IMO, getting rid of it doesn't make the song sound as good. I just tried it.

I'm not familiar with the source, but this sounds beautiful, Core.
I've done a little work on my Wily Stage 1/Enker port.
Click for SPC.
* Removed the staccato on #0 by extending the notes and removing the rests
* Added an instrument change on #0 about halfway in and adjusted the ADSR
* Lowered the volume on #2, #3, and #4 and adjusted the ADSR

While giving examples of music exclusive to the Game Boy Mega Man games in the Mega Man 16-bit Remix Project thread, I discovered Pluto's theme from Mega Man V and decided to give it the 16-bit treatment. Originally, I wanted to try out samples for the first time with it, but after having a bit of difficulty getting that to work, I decided to just leave it unsampled.

THIS IS WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU PUT THREE SONGS IN ONE. It was play suppose to Sky Sanctuary, but the SPC for a reasonsome won't go pass 2:20...
so is just Bubble Man and Windy Valley next to each one other. Done on purpose, but the notes tune me out. Is just experiment here...
