so is just Bubble Man and Windy Valley next to each one other. Done on purpose, but the notes tune me out. Is just experiment here...

Mmh... That doesn't sound too bad imo, but what the hell did you do past 0:40?

I did NOT touch the notes, nor the instruments O_O so I not know what the hel happen...
trytostar.spc

So Gradius III was originally an arcade game. It got ported to the SNES, but this song, Try to Star, didn't make it in the SNES soundtrack. So.. I made my own rendition of it in SPC format.

@Kuri-chan: Sauce-some! I like your use of Gradius III samples. Well done ^^

I'm supposed to be porting "Plok! - Rocket Launcher", but I kind of lost motivation to finish it, so I put that on hold.

I ported this instead:
Mega Man & Bass (GBA) - Character Select
Enjoy ;)

Q: Why didn't you port the one used in the SNES version?
A: Because that square that uses panning on channel 3 is holy f0ck sexiness.

Q: Were you the one who made samples 14 - 16? If so, why?
A: Yes. I was planning on putting notes on three different channels to make them sound like chords initially, but I didn't like the idea of using SFX channels, so I decided to make chorded samples. I also thought making use of them wouldn't affect the insert size much, and it actually didn't, so yay! ^-^

Q: Sample 19 sounds so smexy. Where is it from?
A: "Pokemon Gold/Silver/Crystal - Dark Cave"

Great job on both of those Crispy and Masa. Though I'd suggest some light echo on your port Masa

Well, first port I've done in a long while.
Final Fantasy VI - Gogo's Theme
Although I'm not really a Final Fantasy person (par 4/2/whatever the fuck you want to call it), I have to say the port sounds really nice. It's great to see you're back, back. And not back for that one WoI thread.

I think the bass is quite soft, otherwise it's a pretty catchy song!
I'm doing a bit of experimenting with the Banjo Kazooie samples.

Click Clock Wood (Lobby)

Thought I'd port a simple song just for testing purposes.
I've always wanted to make a sampled port of Secret of Evermore, but I thought it was impossible, since the entire sound engine is encrypted (even the Gain is messed up). Fortunately I was able to rip the samples with SPCTool, and I came up with this:
Secret of Evermore - Lonely Halls
The volumes are a bit unaccurated, but whatever. I also couldn't fix that slight beep at 1:02 on channel #1, so if you have any ideas of what can cause that it would be nice.

Nice! The samples sound very clean.

I remember this song. I love the samples you used and also the song itself is pretty nice! Good job, as always!

Now I'm reposting this, just in case.

Decided to remake yet again my second port, flame mammoth from MMX.
Here.

Enjoy.

Oh, also I finally learned how to use samples! Mega Man X - Ending cutscene

It's a bit fast, and it's missing the drums, but that's why it's a WIP. :D

Sounds really nice :)
Good job!

Anyway here is something I ported a while ago and then OGS93 decided to edit it a little.
Seiken Densetsu - Endless Battlefield
Allow me to repost this.

Can people stop reposting their crap. It's really dumb... If noone has said anything about it then just get over it and try to improve it how you see fit (i.e. tweaking while listening to original). it's annoying for the rest of us who chck this thread and see the same 3 spcs being reposted over and over.

Sorry, but you sir can't have an echo delay of $08 with the echo buffer starting from $2B. Also, since setting the buffer at $15 will limit the maximum insert size to 345 bytes (which I'd assume you don't want), you can try setting it to $1D if you want to have a delay of $07.

Anyway, I'm not familiar with the original, but I can say it's pretty nice, though I'd move channel #4 to #6, but it doesn't really matter.

-----------------------------

So, yeah, today I was bored and I ported this (from scratch, as always):
Final Fantasy 5 - Beyond the Deep Blue Sea

Close your eyes while listening to it, and you'll fall asleep beyond the deep blue sea... blbrlblrb *shot*

Can't you just use SPC700's SRC reading to find the sample number?

Yeah.

Those sample numbers will show up on 4 of the 9 possible information windows in the player.
